Perhaps I am doing something wrong? I added the code as directed:

But, “The Barking Schnauzer” is still aligned to the left. *confused* ??

Did not work. I cut n’ pasted the CSS Stylesheet onto a PasteBin. Here is the link: CSS Stylesheet. Hope that helps.

Never mind. It appears that my old blog’s severely-outdate theme was really a mess. Things are much better now. I was able to do what I was asking using a Widget. Thank you for the advice regarding the “child theme” – I think that will help save a lot of the grief I suffered with my old blog’s demise.

I am using the Easel theme.

I know have the child theme set-up (took me a while – turns out there was a plug-in that made it that much easier). Now, my question is can you please point me in the right direction as to where to place that coding I was inquiring after?

Andrew: if you mean going here – https://nerdykibbles.net/wp-admin/ – all I get is the same blank screen if I go to the blog itself. I don’t have the FTP credentials. The hosting of my blog was a gift from my brother 2 years ago.

WPyogi: I believe it was through GoDaddy. Again, it was a gift from my brother 2 years plus ago.

I am not a CSS guy. Just someone with a solid imagination who writes. I feel frustrated right now.

If there is no possible help/solution for what I am asking, could either of you recommend a current dark theme that allow for what I am trying to do?

Thank you both for the help. I have since found a more current theme. However, I am presented with one of my original problems when I brought my blog from Blogger to WP: I don’t know how to make my logo (designed by my fiance) fit at the top.

I’ve left it as I have it now, and as you can see, it looks not unlike it is trying to peek up from behind the blog. Is there any way to move the template down enough to allow for the logo to fit above it?

I did try switching themes, and yes, the fonts looked normal again. :S Do you want me to leave it on Twenty Eleven for you to look at it?

All plugins have been deactivated. Does this make it easier now to see where the problem(s) lay?

WPyogi – the theme I am using is TAKTEEK01. It’s early in the morning (reading this before I leave for work), so I am not 100% sure if I amreading your reply in the context intended. Is this something that can be corrected by me, or should i throw in the towel, starting all over with a simpler theme? *confused*

Andrew – Thank you for your help. I took your advice and Jetpack, plus your coding helped. Can I ask you assistance with one more thing in regard to this and then this whole topic will be resolved?

The box below, “Older Posts”. I would like to make that black as well. Can you please advise what I would need to do for that to change?
