Oh yeah and i still have access to my site at times.. where the error 500 doesn’t come up but the export button for the wxr file is still not working.

It’s been an issue for a number of weeks prior to 2.8.5. I can’t even export my site to rebuild it. The plugin guy also updated it this morning but even the new version doesn’t work for me. I end up with error five hundred, and the page ends up without a scroll bar so i can’t reach the bottom of the page to save the new settings.

Hey ok so I went to my site, I downloaded a sql file that was update as recently as last week it was in my wordpress backup folder. I also went to my host and downloaded a backup of that server. Can I restore every post with these? My host only allows 2,000 kb upload of sql data so i have a problem there because my back up is 20.5 mb in size.

No, because the last time i had a succesful back up was like 6 weeks ago when that plugin also stopped working.

Can you direct me to more information on how to do that?

@mercime i’ve done each and ever single one of those steps…over and over and over again before i came to the community for help. None of the steps you have suggested have resolved the issues, i’ve even gone beyond those recommended steps. Nothing was changed manually by any party involved..wp seems to be giving this problem to some people out of the blue without them having to do anything.

Oimdiane..this is absolutely nuts. The bad part is that its crippling so many of us. I kept researching and it seems quite widespread the amounts of issues with 2.8.4 I have no sitemaps, no akismanet my site is completely bare of plugins because each one leads to 500 errors or the white screen. I wanted to rebuild but with all my work I still can’t export my site.

Do you have any data on 2.9?

Jeez, can I get any help on this please..or can someone at least recommend another plugin that can create a sitemap that’s google friendly and provides a link to the file

Hope these details are a little better. Ok, sorry for any confusion. What I mean is when you go into the configuration page for google sitemap generator the update setting button is gone, my screen now goes as far down as the “exclude content” box..even that box is completely empty.

in picture two you extra options and if you look at the scroll bar it still has ways to go before it reaches the bottom of the page where the update options button is. Without access to that button i’m stuck on my settings which aren’t set up correctly yet. I’m having that same problem on two separate sites and its seriously affecting those sites.

What would be the benefit of affiliate versus ad network?

I’ve had this same problem for nearly two years..we post up original content 5 days a week..are on twitter, facebook, myspace and every other social network..have create linkbacks and pingbacks yet my traffic is absolutely anemic. Have been tracking traffic sources via webmaster tools from google and now bing. No luck, I would say 90% of the anemic traffic we get daily is coming from facebook and twitter and not from search engines. Google has yet to index all of our pages, i’ve gone back and fixed many validator issues have installed just about every seo tool wordpress offers and even when I search for the site by its name its buried beneath tons of other irrelevant results on just about every search engine.

Dude thanks, I seriously got this sit down to around 38 errors..looking to finally get rid of them all. Also what exactly is the point of having no errors on validator, does it help with pagerank or something else?

Ok I fixed the R&B issue at large, now i’m stunted on 34 errors, one of the more popular seems to be my adsense code..there truly isn’t much I can do about that with the limited knowledge I have. Jessn I would seriously appreciate a tad more help with the ones that are left if that wouldn’t be considered asking too much. I’ve eliminated several plugins that created errors now i’m stuck on errors for the equal symbol that goes into some of my embed codes and also the one of the dash’s in my url. Completely ran into a brick wall on some of these.
