I removed the comment declarations in fact. Now, I’ve added them again, but the page still doesn’t validate as XHTML 1.0 Transitional.
What else could I change to make the page valid?

StatTraq is a fantastic plugin, by the way. It’s very easy to install, you don’t have to edit your source code, and there’s a comfortable GUI! ??
@chiensavant: Does a question mark in the URI matter? I’m the author of https://www.southernapproach.ch and up to now, only the front page of my blog is recognised by Google. Other URIs are scanned according to the log file, but they are not included in the index of Google.
Does Google ignore WordPress URIs? My blog is not the only one that is ignored by Google…
