Ok great, by trade I am a Technology Adviser, network architect, Servers and such are my thing. I dab in code and understand how to modify things when needed. In this case I am not happy with IG and the take it or leave it attitude. Personally they would get alot more if they would have just refunded money.. HECK WooCommerce does this what does IG have to hide? Personally working with Woo has been a dream compared to IG.

See I need a host that will scale when I need it.. So thats why I used Hostgator.. now SightGround.

Yes I saw the Galaxy Funder as well. Still has some limitations but I ended up with using Dokan and WooCommerce with Pre-Sale Plugin, and several other very cool options for my customers. I would have had a hard time with all that for IGC not to mention Interoperability with other plugins.

Use IG if you want very limited function to “CrowdFunding” and dont expect to use any other plugins/themes with their solution.

@helloyoga Great and fair questions to ask.

Were you trying to do something exotic that IgnitionDeck is not really designed for, or where you just trying to do the standard basic setup?

Of course everyone is trying to do something exotic right? When I looked at ignitiondeck I sent them messages, talked though my ideas with their staff, and when they assured me that their system was for me I purchased. Right from day 1 I had issues trying to get the plugin to work correctly. Hostgator possibly to blame on this but they at least were able to edit IgnitionDeck’s code to make the license validate. (took 1 month). Next finally I was able to start using the product. I was having issues trying to setup my “T-Shirt” Example and so I hired their vallet service (spent more money on them, hoping to get better support and setup the solution like I want). Filled out the valet questionnaire and explained again how I want my system to work… Bottom line it was a waste of money as I could not use what they had setup. See more details here if you like: https://ignitiondeck.com/id/forums/thread/limitations-in-levels-and-woocommerce/

Again I was stuck with a license issue, I MOVED my host to sightground where then the license worked. The Comment on Hostgator seems demeaning by the way, yes I chose a cheap solution to get my site off the ground.. with intentions to increase power as needed when I have traffic! Can you blame me there???? Already lost lots of money on this… ok so back to the issues…
THey kept telling me IF you use OUR commerce solution things will be easier… tell you what not true. IF you use our theme it will be easier… AGAIN not true.. I was even told “you should upgrade to enterprise” so glad I didnt..

Looking back, would you say that the problem was your having not taken the time to properly study the offering and having unrealistic expectations, or was the problem that IgnitionDeck is not up to par and offers poor support?

Very interesting the way you stated this comment.. seem to think you might be in cahoots with them. First I did LOTS of research on them prior to purchase.. like I said I even sent emails and talked to someone. They all told me what I wanted could be achieved. What is unrealistic is that they told me just buy and we will help you.. I will say that Emma although does not practice much attention to detail did get back to me however at times 2+ business days after the last response.. You can see from that URL above (before they possibly delete the thread).

Bottom line, ignitiondeck is not up to par missing some very needed features, and is a BASIC solution to crowdfunding. When I asked for a refund I was shocked at the response I got… especially given the history. I didnt even ask for the Valet service to be refunded as that was time…

I have learned that in reality Crowdfunding is nothing more than a glamorous way of pre-selling (wooCommerce does this VERY well).
Mixed in with Dokan you can have a much more viable pre-selling environment with self registering “vendors” with more open options.. and hell variations (which caused me not to use IGC)!!!

I find it interesting that they write about people like us (people who are not happy with their product) and label us as Terrorists.. pretty harsh. https://ignitiondeck.com/id/we-do-not-negotiate-with-terrorists/

Hello Virtuousgiant. Although the Kevin Above may not have any support tickets.. you can be assured I have many… ??

Hey guys I have been trying to get the uploader to even upload anything I get nothing any chance you know what the problem might be? I have verified permissions they are correct. No real documentation on this subject.

Was there any resolution to this?
