In reply to: How do I get APNG, animated PNGs to work?Interesting. Well After you said, “other software,” I thought I should check all the plugins. I should of done this earlier, stupid me. I deactivated “EWWW Image Optimizer” and it fixed the problem. I didn’t think to disable because from my understanding it was a user activated plugin. I didn’t know it was auto optimizing stuff! Sorry for wasting peoples time ??

In reply to: How do I get APNG, animated PNGs to work? This is the one WordPress auto converted into a standard png
https://www.cryptominerworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/apngbutterflytest.pngAnd this is the same file but
I uploaded it to my hosting server, outside of WordPress
https://www.cryptominerworld.com/wp-content/uploads/APNG_test_folder/apngbutterflytest.pngAlso, I have tried other APNGs with different compression protocals, different resolutions, they all get the same auto converting treatment from WP. Come on WP you are stifling the dreams of these little apngs, they just want to fly, and dance for the world! WordPress = Bomont (Footloose Town). ??

In reply to: How do I get APNG, animated PNGs to work? Thanks for the replies! @joyously No I did not rename it to .Apng it is just .png.
@stermdata What versions of php-gd and ImageMagick should I have? And how do I found them, I googled and poked around in Cpanel, but didnt find anything. The servers PHP version is 5.4.45. But I dont think you are looking for that.
Also I was able to hack my way around this issue. I just uploaded the apng to my server, and then just link that file address to my WP site, it works okay, I would prefer to work all in WP if I can, and it sounds like @joyously has no prob, so I know it is possible, now.
Thanks
