  • I had this same issue recently. It’s actually handled through your menu settings for your overall site theme. (Appearance>Menus). Go there, and scroll down to where it says “Menu Settings.” Next to “Theme Locations” I have a checkbox by “WPTouch: Header Menu.” Now it has the same menu on both mobile and desktop sites.

It IS that easy! What a relief! You’ve been such a help, thank you a million!! That angle just never occurred to me before.

noig, if you’re still looking for a solution, but aren’t creating the pdf, I do have a possible solution for you. On another website, I’ve used the Blog Protector plugin by PcDrome. It requires a login and password on pages that you specify. Has worked well so far. It won’t stop printing or downloading, but will at least give you some restriction to viewing.

Ha, it’s only been 10 minutes and I found some options in InDesign for Security, including a password for access and printing. I can even disallow printing altogether. Never even looked there before! Didn’t know I could do that!

I will have to apply these changes, then upload the file and see if it works. This way, I’m thinking it’s possible to simply provide a link to the pdf file, which will open Adobe reader, but with these protections. Much simpler. Hoping it’s that easy…will update.

Hm, I didn’t think of that, nor do I immediately know how to to do that on the pdf-creating side. Something to look into. I certainly have done a lot of searching and found no answer for a wordpress plugin.

Thanks again for your help, govpatel! You helped me before with another issue, if you recall ??

It’s been a while since you posted this, but I am looking for the exact same thing. I want only certain people to be able read it, but no one to print or save a copy. The google docs embed plugin appears to allow both printing and saving. Plus you can’t type in a page number to jump to it, which would be nice for my purpose.

noig, have you found a solution in the time since you posted this? Or does anyone else have an answer?

    Thank you!

I just got the firebug addon and played around with it a bit – wow. It will be very useful in the future, thank you again!!

I realize this is an old post, but I’m also looking for something like this and haven’t found an answer yet. My site requires a login to access posts. I want to be able to see who logs in when, and if possible what they viewed. Anybody know of a plugin that does this? Thanks!

THANK YOU, govpatel!! It worked, now the page is centered with even space on either side. I was wondering if it had something to do with this “wrapper” based on my limited experience with the other site, but didn’t know where to look for the file to change. I am learning!

I have it installed on two sites, one using twentyten, the other using evolve. It works with twentyten, but not with evolve. Any ideas out there? Thank you!

Here’s the website. It doesn’t look bad, but I don’t like the change and neither does the person I made it for. Don’t want to switch the theme at this point, either.

Do you think there is something I can change in the style sheets to fix it? I’m pretty new to WP, but I did do a simple child theme for another site in the twentyten theme here. Any help would be appreciated. ??

brent7, I just updated to the new version of evolve and suddenly my page is aligned to the left as well! I didn’t change anything else, so it must be the update. I have a big block of white space on the right. I tried the option where the blog fills the browser window, but I don’t like how it looks.

Does anyone know where I can tell it to align the page center, with the same fixed width?
