Aha, it worked you were both right the big ad is the culprit I removed it I didn’t like the way it looked anyway not showing the full ad.
    Problem resolved.

‘THANKS A MILLION TIMES OVER’ I spent hours on this last nite.
Not today, on to yet another WordPress crisis.

I noticed that, but being the clueless newbie I am I didn’t think it would be a tech issue just a little annoying to look at is what I thought however, now I know I need to check it out and I thank you for looking.

Also I found out that this only happens when I view it everyone else can see all the post titles and ads in the right sidebar. So that means it’s MY PC doing this. Someone suggested clearing the cookies and temp files do you think that will help or is that off the track? Thanks again I really appreciate your detailed explanation.

I’m new to and I don’t know what I’m doing and didn’t know to leave the site address. I don’t know the basics so I don’t know how to word everything like it should be. So thanks for your help, but I don’t understand any of this so I better just forget it.

There is a reason for my silly fears. When I first got the blog, I did my first post. I tried to do the read more feature and what happened was I messed up some sort of code php, css or whatever it’s called. And I couldn’t post or access posts for 2 days till I was rescued by a person who could help me get going again, so now I’m scared to try anything. Since I wasn’t working I couldn’t afford to pay a blog tech guy. So there’s my sorry story like many sob!sob!newbies. Oh well, thanks again for the help. Now, I won’t be nervously dreading day 10!
    Cheers,

I understand a little better now I think, however it is all very confusing to me who has no techy knowledge whatsover. So once I get to my 10th post the first post will disappear and go into a database. And if my archive is actually working, and I click on it that first post should show up, it that correct? I’ve been scared to post thinking my posts would disappear and I wouldn’t be able to reach them. I was afraid to get to the 10th post. Sounds crazy, but it’s a true story. I’m clueless, pitiful newbie.
    Thanks for helping.

Thanks for the help it is set on 10 and I am on post 9. Where do the old posts go once I hit 10, into the archives? I set up a page for archives, but don’t know if it actually works as I don’t know what I’m doing.
    Thanks for help,

I tried to work with settings thru admin in my dashboard but it won’t let me insert a header to start a new post after the read more. I think you have to insert some type of code with a php that I don’t understand how to do or know what it is. I’m reading all the wordpress lessons but can’t figure it out. Ideas thoughts anyone?

Now I’m stuck with one paragraph on my homepage with read more taking them to finish reading it elsewhere and can’t add another post. I stupidly thought once I got the blog going that it would be easy to manage it and it turns out it isn’t, at least for me, since I’m not techy at all. Thanks for help I don’t really know what to do I can’t post.

Their service is free to me but they do get paid by my signing up under their link. Their advertisement says they give us all the bells and whistles and all I have to do is start blogging and that isn’t true. I would not have signed up under them and had them do the installation if I didn’t think I could easily do simple things. I have tried for for days and hours on end to try and figure it out then I get wore out from it and have to go to bed. I managed to get a post on but can’t figure out how to do another because I can’t figure out how to get another header or do read more feature. Can’t figure out how to set up archives. I have pushed every button in the admin panel and searched over and over. I don’t understand php codes html or whatever all that is and didn’t think I had to. I just go in circles. I thought it would be simple, it isn’t, I was led to believe it would be easy.
I just want help and thought I could get it here somehow because it says support and other people are asking questions. I don’t think I can figure this out I’m trying very hard but I need help. Instructions or something. Could someone else respond that has a heart and understands that people like me who aren’t techy really don’t get it? I’m more than willing to do it but need instructions on how to do it. Thanks.
