It’s working now, I didn’t know that in the tag variable “group=private” the name of the group is evidently case sensitive.

A couple of pitfalls to ‘trusting’ this plugin completely is (1) if using some kind of member subscription system for posts to be emailed to subscribed members, the security protection of UAMPE doesn’t extend to the emailed posts, (2) wish it worked in comments as well which it doesn’t.

Still, seems to work as advertised in posts.

I want to create a new MySQL database and install WP3.5.1 clean and empty in a new folder totally separated from my current WP install that is having the upgrade problem. Then I want to move the old content to the new install.

The reason why I want to try this is because I’ve already tried the instructions above and deleted wp-admin, wp-includes and all root files except wp-config.php, and then FTP’d the 3.5.1 files and folders. It did not correct the media button no working problem. I’ve tried doing it again after deactivating all plugins and it doesn’t resolve my problem. So I’d like to try a completely new install of 3.5.1 as if starting from complete scratch, to include a clean SQL database, and then add in the old site content once I get a good working installation of 3.5.1.

Is there any export/import script that can do that?

has the plugin been corected for proper upgrade application when run?

Is this plugin intended to actually embed and play/run a powerpoint slideshow or just display the slides? I just installed it on WP3.3.2 and it embeds the PPT slides themselves. I’m looking to run the slideshow.

Did you ever solve this? I am having the same problem, although when I comapre the uploaded file to the original they are the same size.

I have a similar desire to use my own header images, but instead of using/uploading an actual .jpg/.gif/.png image, have that image variable point to a cgi script located at /cgi-bin/rotateimage.pl which is a cgi script that would rotate multiple images with each page refresh. I’m not too good at the PHP code level at all, so I’m trying to find out where and what variable to remove and insert that relative path. I’d do this in a child theme of course.

Any help would be appreciated!

I’m not an expert with WP by any stretch, but I have an idea for this. How about using the Quick Post Widget plugin and create an anonymous user account for it?

Has this been resolved/answered elsewhere? I’d like to accomplish the same thing.
