I guess what I need is a private group activity trigger. So if someone creates a document, creates an activity wall update in the group, comments on an activity update or document, uploads media to the private group, makes someone a moderator in the group, etc.

Ok it appears your plugin will do general activity OR group create/settings updates. I am wanting to create notifications to private group members, of activity that happened in the private group and have that show up in their notification list or the site-wide activity feed. Public group notifications are already a thing. Friend notifications are a thing from public or private groups. But if you and I are in a private group together, but we are not in each other’s friends list, we should still see notifications of activity inside our shared private group. I already have a live notifications plugin for everything BUT private group activity. I NEED to find something that will alert all members of a private group, if that group’s activity, whether they are friends or not. This seems so hard to find.

Unfortunately, I can’t use this plugin as is.

I’m looking for this too. I added the country selector to my profile fields, but can’t run a search on it from the member list. This was to be a key way for members to find people near them. Any ETA on being able to search by country?

May have to find another reaction plugin. I’ve tried this on three different themes so far and none of them show the proper response. I keep getting:

Ok I confirmed that overrride is on. Why else would I still be told that my users’ documents may still be open to the public? My webhost confirmed that override is on server-wide (shared server hosting). I had sent them the wiki page linked from the notification in my admin back end.

Oh ok, I thought this was necessary in relation to various discussions I read where it appeared this had to be added for allowoverride to do its job. I have my host looking into allowoverride, but based on other redirect statements in my main .htaccess file, I assumed it was already on.

This can’t be done site-wide for whoever creates any document??? I have to throw this into every single document’s folder manually??? That’s a huge flaw! There should be a global way to protect user-created documents.

Ok. And to date, I’ve never seen Learnpress have it’s own or allow for a right sidebar. I created my own using the Widgitizer plugin, and creating in-page sidebars you add via shortcode, and then putting widgets inside those.

What I found was that the new functionality results in the sidebar being hidden automatically, but clicking the two arrows in the top right will show it again. If you leave those clicked, the sidebar stays out.

I’d switched to the fluida theme from the Ixion Theme as learnpress won’t work with the Ixion theme. A subsite I’d set up with learnpress last summer always had the sidebar out, but suddenly it was now hidden. It was when I got poking (I’m a geek, I do that) that I discovered it appears the sidebar was automatically hidden, but would stay out if I had the two arrows pointing the right way to each other.
