OK so it’s been a month and a week and no help with this. Anyone???

Sorry for the late reply I was on vacation.
To be honest, it was 2 months and 2 weeks ago that I did that. I don’t remember if there was a reset button and maybe it was removed in a more recent UM update, or if I just manually changed the setting back to their defaults. Nonetheless, I will provide you with the setting I currently have that are working for me. You can see them at the screenshot linked below. Hope this helps.
Sorry for the late reply. I was on vacation, but I’m back working on my site. Thanks for your help and pointing out that document.
So my experience was that not until after I created a child theme, did Ultimate Member save the customizations I made to the email templates via Ultimate Member > Settings > Email. After I created and activated the child theme, I edited an email template and the template was saved in ../themes/[theme_name]/ultimate-member/email. I don’t know why it didn’t do this before I created the child theme, but at least it’s working now.
I only hope this is the end of this nightmare. I now need to go and re-customize all of the email templates again. This time, I’m actually going to save them as HTML files on my Google Drive just in case something goes wrong and they get overwritten again.

Sorry for the delayed response. I was on vacation and have finally gotten back to work on my site. I will give your fix a try as soon as possible. Does this fix work even after you upgrade to the latest version of UM?

I have’t set up a Child Theme yet. Wasn’t necessary for this project… until now. But I will, if I must.
But before I do that, I decided to have a look for the email folder you mentioned above..
When you edit an email template (using the wp-admin screen) the files are stored to “../themes/[theme_name]/ultimate-member/email”.
Have a look at this screenshot of the path you led me to. The “ultimate-member/email” folders don’t exist.
https://www.screencast.com/t/uJUSjwmrE5I’m using the latest version of WP and UM. I also tried customizing one of the notification emails using the wp-admin screen, thinking maybe this would somehow trigger the creation of those missing folders, but I still don’t see that path.
What is the problem?

OK I am HIGHLY UPSET!
I posted this support request almost 2 WEEKS AGO. Since I can’t halt development of my soon to be launched site, while waiting on @ultimatemembersupport to respond with a solution, I had to do the best I could to rewrite the custom notification emails from memory.
Well guess what… after all that time it took me to rewrite those notification emails, a UM update that was recently released, and I installed, AGAIN reset my customized notification emails back to the UM 2.0 defaults!
Really? This is NOT cool.
@ultimatemembersupport can you please help ASAP?

Yes I never got that reply. However, I deleted the old code and added the new code in the Form > Form Options > Javascript section and it still didn’t work. I made sure to edit the Address Country field to pre-select “United States”, but when the form loads on the web page, the Country field is still blank. Of course if I manually select United States, the State field then switches to a dropdown field containing the states, but I’d really like the country field to already be auto populated with United States.
I still haven’t gotten a response to that email I sent you. Any update?
