In reply to: [File Away] Files failing to load with these errorsStats deliberately enabled, encryption no.
php.ini execution time is fairly high, and there is no delay before page error appears, it happens under a second.

In reply to: [File Away] Files failing to load with these errorsApologies Thom, I missed the rest of the error message.
File not found
______________Firefox can’t find the file at https: // mydomain / as-above
It seems to happen only with files above a certain size, around 20 MB

In reply to: [File Away] Pagination not working in some browsersApologies for not explaining myself very well Thom.
I am using File Away as a cataloguing system for books in pdf format.Rather than have a huge list of “books” I categorise them into relevant groupings.

In reply to: [File Away] Pagination not working in some browsersWould that be a difficult task Thom?
The categories look so much nicer with a little icon which can be quite descriptive, and as they are small the overhead is minimal.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [File Away] Pagination not working in some browsersThom, I must apologise if I have wasted any of your valuable time as I believe I have found the insecure content culprit and it was as I suspected the Template which has a builder built in, and this builder had cached some old files. Deleting that cache seems to have solved that particular problem.
I used this little tool to identify the problem files
https://www.whynopadlock.com/check.phpSo, as above……
I have one question I would really appreciate if you could answer for me.I have my own little icons for book categories I would like to use – where do I put them?

In reply to: [File Away] Pagination not working in some browsersHello Thom, no both are the same although it is a multisite install and the “library” is a sub-domain although as you know with WP sub-domains are not “real” but virtual.

In reply to: [File Away] Pagination not working in some browsersHello Thom, yes it is set to https, and I must admit at this point I have a suspicion that my template may be causing some of the issues, or at least masking them and confusing the whereabouts of the actual culprit.
I have checked I have latest versions of everything I use, and I’m in the fortunate position that I have a test / staging site which is a clone of my production website and all changes I make are first made on the test site before applying to the production site.
I very much appreciate your excellent support and will make sure it is not unrecognised when I get all the issues resolved.

In reply to: [File Away] Pagination not working in some browsersA re-install seems to have cured that problem but highlighted another.
Firefox is throwing “non-secure content” errors over https.
I guess this will be the directory and pdf icons
Where do I change the code to deliver these over https?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [File Away] Pagination not working in some browsersHello Thom, thank you for your reply.
Some directories have 50 + files, some less than 20.
I doubt if RAM is the problem. The server is dedicated with 24GB and the PC I’m using has 12.

In reply to: [File Away] Directory Browsing not workingIt seems as if this was an intermittent issue caused by Opera browser.

In reply to: [File Away] Directory Browsing not workingHello Thom, I seem to be having the same issue of a sub directory inside the main base directory showing nothing when clicked. The sub directory contains files as I loaded them by sFTP, but on the website page the user gets nothing when clicking the Directory.
Other individual files in the Base Directory open and/or download as expected
I thought that PHP register_globals was not recommended for security reasons and register_long_arrays is deprecated?
In my php.ini auto_globals_jit is enabled, while register_globals and register_long_arrays are disabled
Is there a workaround?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [File Away] Restrict number of daily downloads per userThank you for your swift reply Thom.
Sadly I must be able to prevent excessive multiple downloads.
Google says https is a ranking factor and is strongly pushing for an https web. So are plenty of other major players.
Is there any point to Wordfence Falcon caching if SSL secured (https) pages should not be cached ?
Please correct me if I am wrong, but a fully https website surely cannot gain any benefit from Wordfence caching.
This absolutely astonishing. I cannot believe they would be doing this although I had my suspicions.
This demands a quick and open response from Wordfence.
