@corrinarusso – I entered my password first in plain text and then changed the function to use MD5 then saved in phpMyAdmin. This didn’t work.

Checked wp-config.php and this is definitely pointing to the correct db as looking at the correct table prefix.

Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

Could there be any issues with my wp-login.php file in my current build or any other file(s)?

Thanks for that WPyogi – just have some further queries please, if people could pls assist with this P2 theme:

Q1) Apart from tags, can you also assign a category to a post?
Q2) Can you somehow use DISQUS as the comments system within P2?
Q3) I need to apply some type of sorting mechanism, i.e. most recent, most rated etc – is this possible, if so, how?
Q4) Are you able to add a “Rating” system, like “Facebook Likes” to posts in P2?
Q5) What is the best means of allowing users to sign-up to use the P2 theme to Post as well as comment on posts – is this possible?

Any help on the above, would be much appreciated.

Thanks Andrew – the pinboard theme looks good and it’s responsive.

Yes WPyogi – that is the correct link.

Using the theme is fine but I needed to change the “Contact” page and add an email component to the right sidebar.

Worked out that this info was in the above directory I mentioned and within the file “contact-info.php” and so edited this php file directly.

The problem now is that, I would’ve have like to get this changed file into my child theme but looks like I can’t and so, any time there is an update to this theme, I will lose this changed file.

Any ideas apart from backing up this file prior to update and then re-instating it?

I am using the Beauty and Clean WordPress theme which has a files called “contact-info.php” within this “parent_theme/includes/widgets”

Is this not the norm, i.e. you typically wouldn’t be changing these types of files at 2 levels down?

What happens if you do, like I have to with this theme?

Basically after a theme that is a paid as well as supported theme, such as from themeforest etc.

This is what I classify as a Premium theme.

Specifically looking for one that is of a cafe/food type theme though.

Just a few other questions please on this parent-child theme file setup.

Does this mean that any file that is in the parent theme, be it at root level or within a directory within the parent theme can be “overriden” within the child theme, like loop.php?

A specific example I have is that I also need to modify a file within the parent theme that exists within the directory “parent_theme/include/widgets” – does this mean that I need to create this same directory structure within my child theme directory, i.e. “child_theme/include/widgets” and then place the file I want to update here?

If you could please get back to me on the above, that would be great and if there are any useful links that people can point me to that explains the above, that would also be useful.

Hi,

I am also currently having issues with the Contact Form 7 with it not sending emails using WordPress 3.4.1.

I can state that this combination is not working for me, for one of the sites I developed. It also doesn’t work for me if I use the WP Mail SMTP plugin.

I can also state the the combination of WordPress 3.3.2 with the Contact Form 7 plugin works perfectly.

Can someone please assist as this plugin has been working perfectly but since the upgrade to WP 3.4.1, this is no longer the case.

My client is asking to resolve asap as if I cannot fix, will need to look at other options.

Hopefully someone can assist asap.

FYI, I am running PHP v5.2 on GoDaddy.com

Thanks esmi but are you or someone else able to provide examples on how to load into a div, a thumbnail, an excerpt as well as the “Read More” button, taking user to full page for that DIV.
