In reply to: [Serious Daily Writing Habit] Question in mindFully agree that having a count “per user” would be a nice improvement. Still, I’m afraid I don’t have any short-term plans to add this enhancement to the plugin.

In reply to: [Serious Toxic Comments] BuddyPress activityHi Ghoush,
BuddyPress and any similar forum / community plugin could indeed clearly benefit from the plugin. However, I don’t have immediate plans for this.
Regarding your second point, the alert message is for now hardcoded but it should be rather easy to add an additional option field that lets you add your own custom message. I take note of this for the next version.
Btw, the button text in the screenshot says “Aceptar” which is the Spanish word for “Ok” or “Accept”. But don’t worry, the exact text is automatically chosen by the alert JS method depending on your browser language configuration.
Thanks for taking the time to leave your opinion and feel free to rate the plugin as well!

In reply to: [DW Question & Answer] Question title not showing upAfter several other issues with the plugin I′ve decided to just drop it. So no need for your help on this.
You’re right. It seems there’s a problem with my server today somewhere. Since yesterday I was able to install plugins without any issue I thought yours had a problem but it′s not. Thanks for your quick reply. Looking forward to try it out (as soon as I fix my server conf)

In reply to: converting drupal content types over to wordpressI′d say that you need to first decide whether your main problem is displaying each post type in a different way or managing in WordPress the custom fields of each type.
If the former, then yes, you can just assign to all posts of a Drupal post type an “artificial” category with the same name as the post type name in Drupal so that you are still able to select all posts in WP that were of the same type in WordPress.
If the latter, then all depends on how you want to manage the custom fields in WordPress. You could just integrate the Drupal fields as part of the post body in wordpress, as post metadata in wordpress or if you want full control you can use the Custom post-types plugin or similars.
Most of my clients (I also migrate sites from Drupal to wordpress, see migratetowp.com) are quite happy with an “easy” solution since they don’t have many custom fields and only a few of them really require a “complete” simulation of CCKs in WordPress

In reply to: [Redirection] [Plugin: Redirection] Redirect when the url is using "@"I′m having similar problems. Redirection rules don’t seem to get activated when the source URL contains non-valid URL characters (according to wordpress) even if the target URL is a valid one.
I′d appreciate any input on this.

In reply to: Using drupal users in wordpressIf the access to the wordpress site doesn’t need to be immediate and you’re using Drupal 6 (or previous versions) you could also directly migrate the user data from Drupal to WordPress every X hours/days/…
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Drupal to WordPress migrationIs it impossible to create the WP site in the root folder instead of in a subfolder?
Regardeless of this, it’s not always possible to clone the Drupal URL structure in WordPress (Drupal allows more complex options than the predefined URL patterns possible in wordpress) but this should not be the goal. Your goal should be that all people accessing the site using the old Drupal URLs are redirected to the corresponding WordPress ones. As long as you use 301 redirections for doing this your SEO will not be affected (either using the redirection plug-in or directly in the .htaccess file if you cannot avoid installing the WP site in a subfolder).
