so I did a bit more testing and I got it to kind of work with this code in the actual popup the only issue now is that when you click on it the first time it duplicates the upload area then it works on the second time

No this just deletes them to stop spam comments you will want to add some security and check the keyword comment spam in the plugin repository to get a good spam plugin.

Yes this would be a relatively simple fix. Add the follow code to you css.
Make sure its the custom css and not the css in the editor area.
