    Thanks, that worked.

Tobias, I am so embarrassed! I always use your plugin, but for some reason it isn’t on this site. I don’t know if I changed it, or someone else did. Thank you for the reply, I apologize for wasting your time. You are one of the good ones!! ??

Thanks for taking the time to write this review for other developers. You’ve saved me a big headache! Did you find a better solution?

Thanks. I was able to remove the duplicate reviews.

Is your recommendation to “prioritise reviews retrieved using the Google API over those imported using the HTML Import feature” a setting? or is this just a general recommendation?

@elonreynolds?@qriouslad I guess I should’ve updated before I sent the last message. After updating to ver 6.5.1, clearing the cache and viewing the customizer again, I am still getting the error when the Hide Admin Notices is turned on. https://app.screencast.com/6EAJARxUkDSGE

Also tried in Firefox, just to be sure it wasn’t a caching issue.

@elonreynolds @qriouslad Yes, I did have Hide Admin Notices activated. When I deactivated, the message no longer pops up. Thanks for firguring this out!

Here are the settings I’m using. If I didn’t screenshot a page it’s because I don’t have any of those settings activated.

I did not know there was cache clearing for the plugin – that did it! Thanks so much.

Thanks, the HTML import worked, so it’s displaying the new reviews now. Still weird though because the back-end tab for reviews says “44”, but the front end still says “35” and I have the new ones. For the HTML import I selected “only import original” and “import empty reviews”. I did change the settings to “retrieve new reviews only” and “synchronize daily,” (I only had it hourly for troubleshooting).

    This is the shortcode I’m using: [reviews_rating icon=”false” name=”false” vicinity=”false” date=relative limit=6 view=3 loop=-1 interval=10 excerpt=250]

It seems to be fine though, just wanted to give you that add’l information about my settings in case there was something else I need to change.

    Thanks for your help!

@anastas10s That’s all well and good, but I opened this ticket 2 months and 3 weeks ago, at what point was it a known bug and why weren’t we informed of this as soon as it became evident?

@jbd4jc Thanks for pushing this to the forefront again and making things happen. I appreciate you!

Wow. I am absolutely furious that this is a known bug. @jbd4jc and I, and I’m sure numerous others have been spending hours trying to fix this problem. First, why did it take this much time and back and forth for someone to identify that it is a known bug? And second if the fix involves just dropping back to a previous version of square, why not just do that for everyone instead of letting some of us flounder?
We’re trying to run a business here! Really disgusted.

@jbd4jc Good Idea. Here are my active plugins, including the MU plugins. I see there is something there from Elegant themes which is no longer in use. Will have to contact WPEngine about removing that.

Looks like we are both using Astra, but I’m using Beaver Builder, you’re using ELementor. Here’s what I saw in common, but double check behind me, the list made me cross-eyed!

    Jetpack: by Automattic – 11.4
WooCommerce Shipping & Tax: by WooCommerce
WooCommerce Square: by WooCommerce – 3.2.0

I turned off everything in Jetpack, so I don’t think that’s it, but it’s likely it’s one of the other two. DOn’t know if I’ll get to troubleshooting this today, so let me know if you find something else out.

Thanks for sticking with this with me!

@xue28 It appears that the state field is required if a person is logged in, but if they are not logged in, it isn’t required.
