The fatal error was due to the mismatch in secret keys,
had defined the ‘SECURE AUTH’ key salt longer than the ‘SECURE AUTH’ cookie.
and there was a mismatch of bbPress ‘LOGGED IN’ salt and wordpress ‘LOGGED IN’ salt. then there was some more twaeaking and it is running again, writing just to close the thread…

why not have wordpress MU instead of having wordpress in different subdirectories wordpress MU is easier to maintain and is almost same as wordpress standard, but i would recommend wordpress standardif you have small number of blogs, because editor isn’t available in MU. you have to do it through FTP

no need for defining salt keys for bbpress in wp-config it isn’t used at all

i too am facing similar problem at line 14 which happens to be blank ??

similar problem here but i got it after i defined some keys in config file, i don’t know a few extra keys with no interference with wordpress install should do it, earlier i tried to edit header template of my theme to add an image

no it isn’t php5, i have php5 on my server
