Wow, that was the cutest post I’ve ever read. As for your website, what did you have before you uploaded wordpress? Was there an index.html? .htm? or home.html/htm ?
I ask because it is possible that the index.php file from wordpress could be taking priority.
Try testing it. Rename the wordpress index.php file to something else like indexxxxs.php… if you do this and navigate to your website you should see your old site. If not, we know the problem is elsewhere.
