I’m the CEO of Soliloquy and I wanted to address your concerns.

First, the pro versions plugin have ALWAYS required annual renewal for support and updates unless you have the Master license which is lifetime.

Second, renewals are always optional.

You have the choice to not renew your license. The plugin will continue to work however you will not get any new updates or support once your license expires.

This is a very common practice around all commercial WordPress plugins.

I’m sorry to see you go.

However I want to clarify that we didn’t change a single thing in the plugin after the acquisition.

We simply replaced the 4 banners that Yoast had with our own.

The only notification you will see is the one that lets you know about the acquisition and nothing else.

It is a tough balance to keep the WordPress UI while trying to solve the goal we have “Make Forms Easy”.

We are going in the direction of decisions over options since often options are confusing for novice users.

But in the process, I definitely understand that we will not be able to please everyone.

Yes I agree that WPForms has a premium version like majority of other good plugins.

My question to you is were you unable to create a contact form easily?

The lite plugin does what it says: Create Easy WordPress Contact forms.

In order for us to keep the development and improvement going, we need to create a scalable business model.

As always, we will be working hard to add tons of new features in the coming months, and I hope you will give us another try soon.
