First, let me start by apologizing for the misunderstanding.

I wrote the email to introduce our community to RafflePress, and I wanted to offer WPBeginner readers a better deal than anyone else was getting.

This is why I decided to do a 25% off coupon instead of the 20% off deal that RafflePress was running on the website.

During the launch, we already have the lowest prices including an unlimited lifetime deal. That’s why I used the word “additional” because you would get 25% off additional to the already lower priced ultimate lifetime deal which we run as a launch special to reward our new users.

But no we do not allow coupon stacking, and no other company in our space does either.

I apologize for any confusion, and I ask that you please give our plugin a try to update your review so it reflects the quality of the product ??

Syed here. I’m the founder of WPForms, and I wanted to personally respond to this review because bait-and-switch is a serious allegation and something that we take very seriously.

WPForms has always offered annual packages (Basic, Plus, Pro). Each came with their respective features and the # of sites you had updates / support for. Our Pro license $199 / year offered support and updates for Unlimited Sites. As the launch special, we also offered Ultimate Lifetime plan which gave our early users an option to lock-in lifetime updates and support.

We retired the Ultimate option in October of 2017. Like we’ve done with all of our other products, we grand-fathered in existing users for lifetime updates and support. Meaning if you had purchased Ultimate lifetime license, you don’t have to pay ever again.

At this time, we also modified our Pro plan and reduced the number of sites to 25. We also grand-fathered in all existing Pro users to have unlimited sites like we promised them at the time of their purchase (so long their yearly subscription stays active).

If you can show us that you indeed purchased the Ultimate Lifetime plan, then we’d be happy to grandfather you in. But our system show that you purchased Pro legacy which is an annual plan that costs $199 / year and give you access to updates / support for unlimited sites.

Also before we retired our Ultimate plan, we gave our existing users the opportunity to upgrade and lock-in lifetime updates. We sent out multiple emails and hundreds of users upgraded to the Ultimate package because they saw the value WPForms bring with continuous updates.

I request that you please provide evidence to back up such serious allegation or re-consider your review title because that’s defamation.

This notice is sent via our announcement feed to users who are using our WPForms Lite plugin or our WP Mail SMTP plugin to let them know about the limited time deal that we have going on, so they can take advantage of it.

It will only show if you have one of our two plugins active on your site, and you can easily dismiss the notice by clicking the Close button.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We are also going to take your feedback to account and push out a fix so you can easily disable the announcement feed with an easy checkbox in the settings.

During the update process, one of the files didn’t get committed which caused the error. We saw it and fixed it within 50 minutes.

This plugin is 100% free for you to use and create your contact forms with.

Yes, we do have a paid version that you can use to unlock advanced features like conditional logic, payment forms, etc, but the free version works very well for simpler use cases such as contact form.

OptinMonster is a standalone application that integrates with all web platforms including WordPress. You must have an OptinMonster account in order to take advantage of this plugin. Click here to create your account.

This is similar to VaultPress, and many other connector plugins that require you to have an account with a SaaS service to connect with WordPress.

I request that you kindly adjust your review, and please carefully read plugin descriptions before you install them on your website.

This would not be caused by Insert Headers and Footers. We simply allow you to add scripts on your website.

If a malware script was added, then it was done by someone on your website (possibly that your website was compromised due to a hack?)

Sorry about the issue guys. We just pushed out a fix in version 1.4.1.

The error happened due to a code conflict with older PHP versions.

First of all, please accept my sincerest apologies regarding the update that crashed your site. I know an apology would not bring back the late night hours that you had to spend trying to fix the issue, but I still want to apologize nonetheless.

I talked with our lead developer and support team, so I could get to the bottom of this issue and ensure this doesn’t happen again.

This error that you encountered occurred for users whose hosting servers were using PHP 5.3. This is a very old version of PHP that is no longer supported. The end of life for PHP 5.3 was August 2014. PHP is currently on version 7.

www.remarpro.com recommends using PHP version 7 or greater. We do our testing going backwards till PHP 5.6 to ensure that our releases work properly.

Due to the unique nature of every individual WordPress website and their hosting environment, there is simply no way we can test against every possible configuration, and this is true for every plugin on the market.

I would strongly recommend that you have your hosting company upgrade your PHP and MySQL versions, so you don’t encounter similar issues with other plugins because most all plugins will start dropping backward compatibility for older PHP versions. Upgrading server infrastructure can cause downtime, but most good hosting companies usually have a way around that in which they migrate you to a new server that’s already upgraded (which has minimal downtime, if any).

Lastly, its definitely disappointing that our first impression wasn’t up to par with our normal standards. If you are still unhappy with our product, then I would be happy to issue you a full-refund for your purchase as you are still within our 14 day refund period.

At this time, OptinMonster is primarily used for adding subscribers to your email list. We don’t have the ability to create WordPress users.
