Try this table plugin I’ve tried most but for your table this should work fine:

When you add your table in TinyMCE be sure to clear the table formatting

Format menu > remove styling

Then highlight/select the first row of your table

Table menu > table > Row > Table Row Properties > Row Type > Header

Which has done the trick.

Sorry I applied a temp css fix on the first site but have now loaded your plugin on the following susanscrediton.co.uk/wp/sample-page/ and getting the same results vertical images. Disable all other plugins so it’s a theme issue i’m using tesseract. Hope this helps.
