If you’re looking for just the content areas to be changed, have you tried using the plugin SiteOrigin > SiteBuilder? It lets you add rows and columns and input your content within each section. Its a good option instead of the standard WP editor that is limited to one column. This is an easy front-end alternative instead of modifying / adding code. But I am unsure of you’re looking at splitting your entire site into columns inc. header, footers.

@eherman24 one last thing on this actually, how do i create more space between the logo/title and the header, as moving it inline pushed the header up, so it looks squished. Thanks!
