@prajwaldesai – I just figured it out. When I click on the snippet, the current snippet – the excerpt from the page goes away and you can enter description. I was thinking that a label like “Meta Description” would show up with a entry box

@prajwaldesai – I saw that comment above but I’m afraid it is not working for me. I’m at version 3.0.3. do I understand correctly that clicking on the edit for the snippet (snippet editor) should somehow show meta entry. Doesn’t work for me.

When you say “to the right hand side of the title”, are you talking about the snippet editor section of the SEO?

I know this should be simple, but somehow it is not…

Am I missing something here. Several are asking where the meta description box is (version 3.0.3). I likewise don’t see it. But “About this Topic” shows the topic resolved.

Has anyone figured this out…or is it just a bug…

Figured it out.

For those who would be interested, the wp_user_roles in the options table has to have an prefix to match the table prefix. it this case I needed an entry in the table for wp_r54hq3jdf6_user_roles.

The table prefixes were different from the old hosting to the new hosting.

OK. So I guess the next question is exactly what gets disabled when you disable analytics in the advanced settings?

OK. Have loaded the latest version of shareaholic and still get the same issue. Shareaholic is loading the ga.js script, yet I don’t have google account info in shareaholic. See snippet below…

Well, seems since the plugin is so versatile and can fit into so many different uses, it would be good to have a place to easily set the title for the particular listing. Probably do it in the same place where you are selecting the template far a particular type of display (individual, organization, family, etc.

OK. I figured it out. I wasn’t thinking when I was looking thru the code to look in the seo class – but duh…messing with the title would sure effect seo. In any event, found the filter on the title in the class.seo.php file.

OK. So is there no easy way to have the caption be the alt text/title which is automatically filled in when the photo is uploaded. Uploading a large number of photos and having to manually adjust the description for each one seems to be more laborious than it should be.

Anyone know right off hand where in the code you can switch the caption to the alt text/title vice the description?

I am totally confused. I have downloaded nextgen 2.0.33 and when you insert a gallery into a post here is what is inserted – not a shortcode.
Here is what I get in the post (looking at the text view):

Does the old shortcode stuff still work?

I can’t seem to get the caption to work no matter what I do. I have gone thru the nextgen dashboard, selected the format that has the caption — NextGEN: gallery-caption.php, yet no caption. Looking at the gallery pics they all show the filename for the alt text/title. Where does the caption come from?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same basic issue, except my error is in another php file.
I am using wp 3.3.1.
