Hi @capuderg
Thanks for the reply.
other plugins that use an older Google API library that causes this issue
Do you mean that we should look at somehow updating/refreshing a Google API key in other plugins? Or is the issue with the plugins themselves?
Thanks ??
Hi – I’m having this same issue.
When logging into the WP admin area I see this pinned to the top
“EMAIL DELIVERY ERROR: the plugin WP Mail SMTP v2.1.1 logged this error during the last time it tried to send an email:
There was a problem while retrieving Auth for gmail: Could not json decode the token
Please review your WP Mail SMTP settings in plugin admin area. Consider running an email test after fixing it.”When I go to WP Mail SMTP settings, I send a test email and this goes through just fine. The message goes away and then will reappear when I log back in a day later.
I’m not running Simple Calendar but have quite a few other plugins (things have been running smoothly for many months without issue).

Yotpo Social Reviews for WoocommerceHello @sanzeeb3
Many thanks for your reply. Following your instruction has resulted in successful email send for password resets, many thanks for that!
I appreciate the time from you and your team very much!
Hello @capuderg – many thanks for your reply.
Yes, the option “Force From Email” is already checked (so no change to my settings so far).
I’ve also just attempted another password reset and the issue is still occurring.
Do you have any further suggestions?
Thank you for your time, I appreciate it!
Hello @sanzeeb3,
Thanks for your reply!
I’m not 100% sure if this answers your questions, but:
1) The password reset form is the default one found here
https://www.example.com/my-account/lost-password/2) I’ve defined the SMTP account password inside the wp-config file like this:
define( ‘WPMS_ON’, true );
define( ‘WPMS_SMTP_PASS’, ‘examplepassword’ );Is this what you’re referring to?
Many thanks for your help! ??

In reply to: [MemcacheD Is Your Friend] Install and workHi @error500ru – your review is encouraging. May I ask, what version of PHP are you running?
Thanks!
Hello @wfgerald, thanks for your reply.
I just used the native WordPress user settings.
ie, Users > All Users > Click on “Edit” on the appropriate user and update user permissions.
I’m not sure if it would impact this at all, but I also have the plugin called Admin Menu Editor Pro installed, which I use to give that user (“Shop Manager”) access to 1 or 2 admin settings.
Though, I’m 90% sure (based on memory) that the issue I posted about originally started occurring before I installed Admin Menu Editor Pro.
Many thanks for your time!
Hi @wfdave
Thanks for your reply.
Just to clarify, in step 6 you state “import the key to restore your settings” but then you go on to say that the plugin will automatically fetch a new key upon reinstallation.
Did you mean to say, all I need to do is import the settings after reinstalling?
Also, if I don’t get any sort of error that another site is using the same API key, is it safe to assume that everything is working and there’s no need to do anything?
Many thanks for your time!

In reply to: [Wordfence Security - Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security] Cron?Hi @wfasa
Thanks for your reply, very helpful.
Based on the advice of my host, I’m currently using the wget command line to call the WP cron.
Is this suitable?
Many thanks for your time!
Thanks to both of you for your replies.
I will try your suggestion when I next run my batch of updates.
A couple of follow-up questions:
– While the site is in learning mode, is it any less secure than it normally would be? ie, are there risks associated with learning mode?
– Is there no way to manually whitelist something to allow this through?
Many thanks for your time,
