By the way, the error I get is:
Mailer: Brevo
missing_parameter: sender name is missingI know how to theoretically solve this with Brevo, and I’ve configured it correctly. A sender absolutely is set up and configured, but still, the issue persists. I have emailed Brevo, and if they actually reply I’m pretty sure they will be pointing fingers at WP SMTP Mail and vice versa. If anyone is reading this, please tell me if you solved this or not. Honestly, this constant “enshittification” of anything and everything online is soul destroying.
I have this error too and it is not resolved. Not sure who in this thread marked the problem as resolved because it really isn’t. I’m trying to understand what has happened with this plugin and/or Brevo. Why would something that was previously working not not be?
Let’s keep up the pressure @jahnstek
A lot of people coming onto WordPress have come from the Wix market and have no absolutely no sodding clue what makes a website work properly, so they don’t even know that this is a problem. I’m having to use Contact Form 7 with Spectra which I wanted to avoid because it’s yet another plugin, but frankly, it’s among one of the few contact forms worth having (outside of Gravity Forms et al).
If Spectra can address some of the fundamental bugs and missing vital functionality instead of distracting everyone with the “ra ra ra, ain’t these blocks cool?” nonsense, serious developers are more likely to get in the Spectra marketing funnel and actually buy the full suite.
This is totally absurd. Why are they pushing Spectra so hard and trying to impress everyone with fancy blocks when basic functionality is not there. Fix the form block! This is why I hate FSE and it’s also why I hate it when developers are allowed to lead the product strategy.

In reply to: [Spectra - WordPress Gutenberg Blocks] Form block will not send emailsI solved this on my own. The problem is that the Spectra form cannot be used in reusable blocls, and that includes templates. Absolutely ridiculous.
I did a video on it for anyone who is having the same issue but having their time wasted by Spectra telling them that there’s “caching” or that “hosting is the issue”.
Seriously guys, if you behave like this, people will simply abandon what is otherwise quite a good product. I saw someone in other thread have the exact same issue and he’s a paying Astra customer.
Why do this to yourself? Once again, for those who are not understanding – you can only use the Spectra form block on the page as what we can regard as native content. If you created a template and added a form as part of the template, it won’t work. Crazy, yes! I know! This FSE is totally riddled with bugs. Sadly, the sites we see in demos and on the YouTube are comically basic and gloss over these bugs.

In reply to: [Spectra - WordPress Gutenberg Blocks] Form block will not send emailsI sent this as a support ticket and I received a stupid response saying that there’s hosting caching that is affecting the form. Ridiculous! There is no caching on the host and even if there is, it wouldn’t be affecting the form unless the javascript was receiving some kind of minification.
Upon reviewing your site, it appears that there is heavy cache applied on your server. I recommend clearing this cache, as well as any other caches on your site.
As shown in the screenshot provided here: https://d.pr/i/JZwh9J , the form is being delivered via memory cache.
Please review this information and feel free to reach out if you have any doubts or questions.
I’ve investigated this Spectra form block problem and lots of people have it, and there’s never a satisfactory response. If you’re going to spend time and money getting people to use Spectra with the intention of having them upgrade to the paid version (I almost did, glad I didn’t), at least solve the bugs with the basic blocks.
I’m going round in circles on this and no one has an answer – this is why I loathe WordPress and its new FSE. It’s just one giant bug

Ok, thanks! This workaround should be fine for now!
I seem to have managed to make the error message go away by joining two separate “schedules” together in order to cover the general time period that I want the block to show.
I don’t know if what I’m doing is correct here and it seems odd to have to join two schedules like this. It seems there’s something the plugin doesn’t like about crossing the “00:00” point.
Ah, got it! It was there the whole time! Cheers.
Ok, I’m not using a remote folder. I’ve now selected
wp-content/updraft/backup/
as my backup destination- This reply was modified 1 year ago by smallbizgeek.
Hi there,
You’ve lost me a bit with your use of the words “local” and “remote”. What exactly do you mean by “local”?
That did it! Thanks! I couldn’t figure out the UI initially.
Hello, no I’m trying to make the whole box clickable but categories can be added. Only posts or pages. I found a workaround now using 301 redirects. Not ideal and seems like you have a real bug here.
Sorry, some of my original reply is missing – I was trying to add the product category to an InfoBox
Hi, it’s not an Advanced text block, it’s an InfoBox – a Kadence block
