Ok thank you I’ll try that if I need to restore. I do save the backups to dropbox.
Quick question, it sounds like I have to deactivate WP Fastest Cache each time I do a backup w/ Updraftplus. Is that correct? Is there a different cache plug in I should use that won’t create problems with updraft?

Unfortunately, UpdraftPlus is not able to run a back up. So frustrating!

Okay I deleted that file and only that file.
I don’t know how to send you a copy of the latest backup log. However, after forcing site visits, switching browsers, clearing each cache/history etc in each browser, I was able to make a back up. It took 2 hours.

So now I’m back to the original problem of not know if the site restore will be reliable ??

Let me add to the above comment. The WP Fastest Cache isn’t even activated. I am trying to run a back up now and I’m getting these error messages:

So are you saying that I should delete “WP Fastest Cache” then run/make a backup of my site with UpdraftPlus? Or did you mean something else like I have to go into the server back end?

Okay, the server people at Hostgator say that the permission are correct, and asked if I need a specific permission set. However, now when I backup with Updraft, it’s fine. But I don’t want to find out when doing a site restore that everything is lost… How can I ensure this doesn’t happen.
