Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Widgets not workingThe default theme didn’t work either but I think I found the issue. I think it might have been related to WooCommerce plugin. When I had updated WordPress, there was also a “major” upgrade for WooCommerce that I kicked off. It appeared to finish successfully but it appears to have never upgraded the database. This morning when I went back in and reloaded the WooCommerce “Home” page, it displayed a “What’s New” dialog and after going through that, it then presented a information message bar at the top of the page saying the database had to be updated and I had to click the link to kick it off. None of this was presented after the plugin upgrade, so it might be issue with their upgrade sequence of events. After upgrading the database, the widgets page looked different and worked. Hopefully this was all that was wrong.

In reply to: [WP-Polls] Button formatLooks like I did make the correct change for the background color as it finally just took affect (must have been a browser cache issue).
But I’d still like to know where you specify the text font color for this button.
Using the latest version but it displays a warning message under every video on the page when used on Windows7 with IE9. All other browsers and OS work, but Windows7 and IE9 are a very common combo these days and need it to work or I need to find a new plugin. Can’t seem to get any support from the developer of the plugin – anyone have any ideas?

In reply to: Plugin upgrade failed for WP-PropertyHi Andy,
Your last post said that you wanted to make sure its not a recurring problem for anybody else. I got a deviation of it. I just tried to install this and had WordPress 3.0 installed and when I would install the plugin it would take my wordpress & site down and display a “fatal error” in the browser. Thru FTP I would have to delete the directory structure in order to recover (because even the WordPress Admin tool would display the fatal error). With it deleted WordPress works again.
I just upgraded WordPress to 3.01 today but I’m hesitant on trying this again. Is there a known issue? Also Question about the functionality if I get this working – does the tool search on only the properties you enter in? Or does it also go to a general property search engine (like the MLS or something)?
Thanks.
