In reply to: Backing Up a WP SiteFirst, WP Forum has a wealth of info and very knowledgeable people. The only problem is that you can get so many answers for one question.
Since my site was hacked I’m very paranoid right now and need to get this straight so please bear with me:I have backed up my wp-content folder (along with all the other wp folders) and I have backed up the database thru cpanel.
If I got hacked again tomorrow, wiped everything and wanted my site to be in the same state the site’s in right now I would have to :
1. Restore the database
2. Restore my content folderIs that about right?

In reply to: Remove Leave a Reply etc.Though I do appreciate the help here I’m confused. Two people are telling me two different things.
What does “comment this out” mean?
If I’m looking in the index.php, what am I looking for?
When you say “without knowing the theme…” is there any way I give you more info to get me further along? And if these questions weren’t enough – how do I remove the date, category and no comments yet? https://www.teentourtheatre.com/?p=15
Sorry for the newbie questions but I’m really trying hard here….
