Hi @mikycol,
In an effort to help us debug, we will need some more info.
In your WordPress dashboard, go to FT Social > Feeds then click on the feed that you are having the issue with.
Then, click the blue support beacon at the bottom right, click “Ask” (on the top right) and fill out the rest of the support ticket. This procedure will send us any/all of the feed info for us to be able to help debug your issue.
Hi @mikycol,
Unfortunately, you must gain new tokens and create new feeds for whichever FT Social feed you had previously displayed. As new Meta permissions are needed. You will not be able to re-activate previous feeds.
However, if you can not gain an access token and are seeing errors when trying to gain one, please delete the free FTS plugin and delete any FTS legacy paid extensions (v1’s). Then re-install the free FTS plugin and try again.
Hi @mikycol,
Yes, all Meta platforms have been down for our plugin for a few days. But they are back up now.
Our plugin was re-approved by Meta (Facebook/Instagram) a few hours ago. You will need to gain a new access token (and agree to the new terms) for whichever Meta platform you are trying to gain one for.
If that does not work, make sure you are running version 4.1.6 of the free Feed Them Social plugin. Then clear the FTS cache (FT Social > Settings > Clear cache) as well as manually clear any caching plugins that you have installed. Then, try again to gain an access token & create a new feed by going to FT Social > Add New Feed. Configure your new feed & then apply your new shortcode (likely replacing your old shortcode) onto your WordPress page.

The SlickRemix TeamHi @karshing,
Update: We are in the final approval phase and hope to have this issue resolved by tomorrow morning.
It’s been a rough ride here since Friday. This is the first time in 10 years we have had an issue with Facebook. They have started imposing so many new restrictions these past few years that keeping up with them has been daunting. We also understand that our affected users simply want the plugin to work, period. We have been working around the clock to restore service. Unfortunately, most of this time is waiting on Meta.
Again, we hope our app will be back up and running in the next 24hrs or so. We apologize for this interruption and thank you for your patience.

The SlickRemix TeamHi @ericbourges,
Twitter is rate-limiting our plugin. We have paid Twitter for more connections. However, our plugin is still hitting the rate limits, affecting all our users. We have also been given no response from Twitter on this matter (been over a week now…). It’s possible you can try to connect again in a few hours and see if it works. Unfortunately, we can not promise anything.
Soon, our Feed Them Social plugin will introduce the option for our users to add their own Twitter keys. For this option, Twitter charges $100 per month (crazy I know). Currently, this is their lowest tier option available. Hopefully, in time, Twitter will create a lower-tier option.
Hi @deeveearr,
Our Feed Them Social feeds, connecting to Meta (Facebook & Instagram feeds) have stopped working. We have reached out to Meta for help to restore them. If you are affected by this, we apologize for this outage. Hopefully, it will be brief.

The SlickRemix TeamHi @deeveearr,
We are aware of this issue. The plugin is getting rate limited. (Meaning it can only make so many connections to Twitter). We await Twitter’s response on this issue as we have applied for much larger connections. Twitter recently changed this without warning for all third-party developers.
The issue clears out every couple of hours and resets the connections back to 0 for the plugin.
We will keep you posted here! Hopefully, Twitter will respond back to us soon.
Thank you for your patience.

The SlickRemix TeamIf you are running the latest Feed Them Social free plugin (v4.1.5), and you are running any FTS premium extensions, those extensions must be updated to v2.0.0 or later, as any FTS legacy extensions (v1) are not compatible and can cause issues.
To update any of your FTS premium extensions, go to the My Account page of your SlickRemix.com account, go to the downloads tab and then manually download & replace the old FTS premium extensions (do not rename the zip file and please be aware that some downloaders may automatically rename).
If you do not have any FTS premium extensions installed, in your WordPress dashboard, go to FT Social > Feeds then click on the feed that you are having the issue with.
Then, click the blue support beacon at the bottom right, click “Ask” (on the top right), choose email and fill out the rest of the support ticket. This procedure will send us any/all of the feed info for us to be able to help debug your issue.

The SlickRemix TeamHi @spoon25,
Our developers thank you for providing this info & your resolution. You do not need to send us any more info, as I previously requested. Our developers have added it to our to-do list. Thanks again!
