    Hi @emtv,

Thanks for contacting us. The issue could be many things. It could be your page builder, theme, or widget settings affecting the feed. Or something else. In an effort to help us debug, we will need some more info. We see that you have opened three separate forum tickets. We ask the same for each.

In your WordPress dashboard, go to FT Social > Feeds then click on the feed that you are having the issue with.

Then, in that feed’s settings, click the blue support beacon at the bottom right, click “Ask” (on the top right) and fill out the rest of the support ticket. This procedure will send us any/all of the feed info for us to be able to help debug your issue.

    Cheers,

    Hi @qtwrk,

Our plugin sets a transient for the cache time and clears it to allow the feed to update. You can see the code that makes all this happen here in our feed-cache.php file. https://github.com/SlickRemix/feed-them-social/blob/master/includes/feed-cache.php

    Hi @qtwrk,

To elaborate further on what you are asking, we do not have any options to bypass caching plugins or any hooks at this time, unfortunately. Our plugin sets a time limit in the db for the cache to be emptied. Generally, caching plugins usually have an option to bypass certain pages from being cached or specific areas on the page, which may help in this instance.

    Hi @jeffsbesthemp,

Instagram classifies its video posts into several different categories. A “regular” video post will display fine with our plugin. Then there are IGTV video posts, IG Reels video posts, IG Stories video posts, and joint or shared video posts. Our plugin can display regular video posts as well as IG Reels. Instagram does not support IGTV posts and IG Stories posts, so those posts are not available. Also, any shared or tagged posts also will not display through the API, as those posts, either videos or still images, are protected by the Facebook/Instagram privacy policy, and thus Instagram does not allow them out via the API.

There are many types of IG posts that Instagram does not support. So, obviously, there will not be any plugins that can display those types of posts, at least not yet. Our free Feed Them Social plugin can display both regular video posts and IG Reels posts, so please give our free plugin a try. If you find that you require more than what our free plugin offers, we do have premium options available.

    Hi @noobieboy,

X (formerly known as Twitter) has made many changes recently to everything. However, what affects us are the changes made to the API. Twitter/X has removed the free access portal from its API, and now has put in place a monthly fee. We have tried to pay this fee, but with all of our user traffic, we hit the rate limit fairly quickly. Which negatively impacts all of our users.

We are now looking into giving our users the ability to pay the monthly fee themselves. It appears to be the only option left. Still, we do not wish this for our users.
? So, we are currently still looking into ways to circumvent this fee and provide working Twitter/X feeds for our users.

We apologize for this pause and hope to find a suitable resolution for everyone soon.

We will keep you updated on this, and again, sorry for the delay.

    Hi @a99webdev ,

Thanks for contacting us. Your IG feed may need to be updated. As we saw a big Meta reset recently. Also to note, IG Stories and IG Reels are not supported and thus, will not display. Standard photo & video posts will (or at least, should) display.

Go to FT Social > Add New Feed and create a new IG feed for that IG account. After you have configured your settings, click update & copy/paste your new shortcode, replacing your old shortcode on that WP page.

?If the above steps have not worked, in your WordPress dashboard, go to FT Social > Feeds then click on the feed that you are having the issue with (the new feed, just created).

Then, click the blue support beacon at the bottom right, click “Ask” (on the top right) and fill out the rest of the support ticket. This procedure will send us any/all of the feed info for us to be able to help debug your issue.

    Hi @jounisimola,

Thanks for reaching out & letting us know. Please try the following:
    ?1) Clear your browser cache.
?2) In WordPress, clear the FT Social cache.
?3) In another browser tab, login to the IG account you wish to display,
?4) Go to FT Social > Add New Feed and try again to gain an IG access token and create a new feed.

If you have any security plugins installed (like Sucuri Security, for example) or any plugin that might be rotating the WordPress Salts & Keys. This will cause the social media access token to be invalidated. We use the Salts & Keys to encrypt Instagram, Facebook Tokens, and Feeds.
If there is a setting to rotate your security keys, you will need to disable this setting. Then the token authorization should not be invalidated. If not, you will need to gain a new access token. We are looking into a possible workaround, but for now, that is our suggestion when using Feed Them Social for an Instagram or Facebook Feed.

?If the above steps have not worked, in your WordPress dashboard, go to FT Social > Feeds then click on the feed that you are having the issue with.

Then, click the blue support beacon at the bottom right, click “Ask” (on the top right) and fill out the rest of the support ticket. This procedure will send us any/all of the feed info for us to be able to help debug your issue.
