i’ve disabled all my plugins so I don’t think it’#s that. Maybe I edited the .htaccess file. I’ll check BUT ……

if I find out what the issues was I’m wondering if there is better way to password protect only one site in a Multisite?

if I have site A working ok, is there a way to back that up, create a new DB and import that site back in?

the same problem occurs if I try to add a new site to the network.

What is going to be the best solution for me?

You need your old files back. Without that, you MAY be able to get away with just re-adding the wp-config.php lines again, like if you were making a new Network.

Add the following to your .htaccess file in ……., replacing other WordPress rules:

I didn’t know what “replacing other WordPress rules” meant so I just deleted everything that was there and pasted the new code in.
