Thanks for contacting MailPoet, happy to help.
In the first place, I asked the hoster, but he could not help. (see later in the description of the bug.) I also add the system information at the end of the document. I deactivated all plugins, but that did not change nothing.
cURL error 6 mainly occurs when the given remote host does not resolve properly. Also, it is related to the DNS, and we fix this error by resolving the DNS.
This is 100% a hosting issue, and not one that we have any insight into or can assist with, unfortunately.

Would I still need to buy a package for 3000 users?
Yes, you will need a plan to accommodate all users on your site.
Also, it seems that a user needs to verify their email when they get added to the segment I created (the segment condition is a WordPress user-role). Is it possible to bypass that?
There is not a way to bypass the double opt-in for the MailPoet Sending Service, no.

Can you confirm what version of MailPoet and WooCommerce you are using? MailPoet supports the current and prior 2 versions of WooCommerce, but not further back than that.

If you are sending with your host, we (unfortunately) don’t have a real way to make sure that the bounce stats are working properly. You do need to manually mark emails as bounced.

I wish that there was a simple way to have this work on Facebook, but I (unfortuntately) don’t think that there is a way to get it to work with Facebook like you are wanting ??
I’m going to mark this as resolved, as it’s not really a support issue at this point, but is more of a feature request. This feature you are wanting would likely be handled by a developer that you’ve engaged to work on your site.
