Your thumbnails are different sizes so a perfect grid is impossible. I believe this is an easy fix.
Dashboard > Gallery > Options > Thumbnail Settings > I have my settings at 128 x 128, fix dimension box checked and quality at 100%.
After you do that you may need to go into each gallery (through manage gallery), select all images then pick the “create new thumbnails” option from the drop down menu.
