I figured out what i was doing wrong.
After installing, don’t network activate it. Go to your site and activate it there.

The problem has been resolved. My hosing provider informed me that I needed to disable ModSecurity in my cPanel, update my email preferences in UM and then enable ModSecurity again.

I am a beginner to all this and would really appreciate if you could confirm the below please.
is there a conflict with the mod_security module and that’s why it redirects to my site when I click on Save Changes to enable the email notification?
What UM settings page should they exclude?
PS: When i first installed the UM plugin, i was able to enable the Account activation email.
