In reply to: More error details in the Smugmug block?OK, apparently this block doesn’t support custom domains on Smugmug … so it’s less useful.

In reply to: Building a tutorial/documentation site in WP?Huge thanks for the answer. Ahhh. “learning management system (LMS)” !! Now I find the right things.
I’m going to look at the links and decide what to use.
Thanks again
And let me say that this plugin is very nice.
Thanks, that works perfectly.
OK, I’ll see if there is some sensible way to randomise the photos on the smugmug site.
Well, that explains it. I was all my mistake – I had one folder with a similar name as the album and used the id of the folder. Sorry about that.
Yes, Post Formats.
I later looked at the source trying to figure out what I was missing missing and found a comment that this was the intended behaviour.
So I solved my problem by creating a child theme and change the logic.

In reply to: get_post_format & has_post_format problemAhhh, thanks. I had no idea about the echo/non-echo thing … I just saw “returns string”.
Thanks for the help.
Isn’t the logo linked to the start?
I’m unsure about what you mean, do you mean that I should figure out where NextGen stores the photo and use that path. Yes that would work but it would be a bit cumbersome to do this (and I, if I understand you correctly, could only use the original size)
I should be more specific: is it possible to get a link to a “NextGen image” that has been rescaled?
For example, if I upload a photo with the size 1600*1600. I have set NG to resize to 800*800 (and keep the original). Is there a way to get a link to that 800*800 image without searching the directories?

In reply to: Having status updates separate from regular blogI’ve never used custom post types before but it’s a reason to learn about them. Changing the templates isn’t a problem.
Thanks for the suggestions. I’m going to investigate this.

In reply to: Advice needed: allowing visitor to subscribe to posts in a categoryThanks, it sure does a lot!!!
I forgot to mention one vital thing (I’m embarrassed :-/), with “subscription” I mean “email subscription”.
In other words, what I would like to the visitors be able to do is:
+ Go to web site
+ Enter their email adress and select some categories they want notifications fromWhen a new post is posted in a category, they will get an email about this.

In reply to: [Keyring Social Importers] I'm getting the wrong flickr URLI’ll answer my own question, no there is no option to change this – this seem to be hardcoded.
I’m not a PHP programmer or a WordPress developer but I was able to get the behavior I was looking for by changing a couple of lines in ‘keyring-importer-flickr.php’

In reply to: Can I use numeric page slug? It’s a completely new site so there are no old pages. However, I used to have an another sub site with the name “example.com/subsite/”, I changed the URL of that site to “example.com/subsiteold” and created this new one with original URL “example.com/subsite/”.
I assumed that they wouldn’t conflict each other? In the old site there is page called “2011” (now “example.com/subsiteold/2011”) but I’ve assumed that they no connection to each other. On the other hand, the old site has no “2013” but I still get the slug “2013-2” on the new one.
Stupid question but how do I check the database?
