In reply to: 100% pure love for 2.7!Now that mine is working I will say it looks good. I like that you can install new plugins right from the administrative page. The layout is easier now that I can see the layout.
Michael, re: prior thread – the plugins were deactivated prior to installation. While I’m not totally familiar yet with this coding, I’m not totally coding illiterate either. I had many sites back in the days of the ever popular CGI scripting. This is better but again, I’m still learning.
Samboll, I understand that you guys get frustrated, but understand that we do too particularly when we make a move to an improvement and the site fails on us.
Again, now that I can see everything, this is an improvement. Thanks for all the work that went into it.

In reply to: How Do I Manage my Plugins?I uninstalled plugins and continued uninstalling plugins (5 total of 10) and finally I get the side menu bar that everyone has been talking about. Now it actually works.

In reply to: How Do I Manage my Plugins?Yes, I do. Who do I email to complain about you?

In reply to: How Do I Manage my Plugins? My attitude was fine until everything I try doesn’t work. For a moderator I think you have the bad attitude. I just want my site fixed.
The link you provided shows primarily risks of ruining the entire site if I try it. That’s my choice?

In reply to: How Do I Manage my Plugins? There is no subpanel and I am the site administrator, full capability. I am the webmaster. NONE of that is available.
Samboll, in response to your snarky comments, what I would like is my site back to MY site.
Michael, I have lost the ability to modify user roles as well. Virtually all capabilities are gone.

In reply to: 2.7 Dashboard/Site admin possible to get old menu style back?Samboll, did all that feedback include everyone wanting our choices taken away on our admin screens? No options to manage plugins? No theme editor? No way to change polls? No way to handle the bulk of your site?
I doubt it.I did not see any feedback on anything. If I had, and it had given me that information, I would not have performed the upgrade.

In reply to: How Do I Manage my Plugins? That doesn’t manage plugins for me. The only thing that does is offer new ones. I’m getting very frustrated with this. I’ve practically begged for help and all I’m getting is the run-around. We can’t manage our own site.

In reply to: 2.7 Dashboard/Site admin possible to get old menu style back?I don’t like it because we don’t have access to most of what we had access to before. I think they really jumped the gun on this upgrade. One of my moderators is still looking for the polls, among all of the other items I complained about in another thread. We would love to be able to manage OUR site. We can’t.

In reply to: New 2.7 does not workMy options are:
Recent comments, Quick Press, Recent Drafts, WP Development Blog, Other News, Incoming links, Plugins (most popular, recently updated, newest – none of my own-)and Yoast Tweaking websites. It will show me my Widgets pages. I cannot see my plugins page nor my Wassup plugin at all. I cannot edit themes nor plugins.
My “Right Now” has comments, comments approved, spam, and pending.
That’s it. How do I uninstall WP 2.7?
Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: New 2.7 does not workIt’s awful. It’s telling me to Deactivate a plugin but shows no list of my CURRENT plugins. It only gives me some new ones I don’t want to install. Its one of my favorite plugins and now I can’t use it nor can I deactivate it. The more I look around, the more I see that most of my plugins aren’t working.

In reply to: wp-comments-post.php problemBy the way, I did visit the URL posted above, but mine didn’t have that problem so I can’t fix it that way.

In reply to: wp-comments-post.php problemI can post comments but after posting it redirects me to the “Oops” URL not found page. This has only happened since the upgrade and it’s annoying for my visitors. Any ideas on how to fix this?

In reply to: Free installation assistance offerMoshu, that link states that they aren’t installing now.
