Hey Cory,
Good news my friend! I managed to actually do it on my own!!!
HG was taking its sweet time, so I replicated scenario and installed it without issues. Did the same with my actual install, I got a few ‘error code 200’ but managed to surpass them by ‘manually extracting’ and voila…….my new installations was up and running!
I couldn’t be any more thrilled..thanks!!I can’t thank you enough Cory!!
I really appreciate your time with me here! Since I’m in a hurry and don’t want things to go wrong just before I publish my site – like you said – I’m going to pay them.
But because I like experimenting and finding things out for my self, I will do it in my own time and just try a similar scenario in a non-production setup. If I do it without problems – I’ll just smack me in the head and hate me for a couple of days ??Thank you Cory ??
Hey Cory,
Thank you again for your time. I think I will bite the bullet on this one and pay them the $75 they are asking. I’m not confident to run the installation from:
/site3/tempfolder/tempsite
to:
/site3
Would this qualify as a ‘nested’ site? I’m confused! Have I nested the /tempsite above to /site3 ?Thank you always..! We learn from our mistakes right..> ?? That’s what I’m trying to do by asking you all these things. I do appreciate your time and effort!
Hi @corylamleorg
I do already have another 2 WP installations in my public_html folder, (in their own folders and different domains).
The one I’m trying to move will be the 3rd site within its own folder in public_html. I host them at HGator.
I’m not that fluent in debugging really..! Is it a case of different url’s from temp folder to new location/url? I’m just confused with this because I thought it was the same case as in when you transfer from Local to Live, (from live temp folder to live main folder).
I now wish I hadn’t done that.Thank you for your immediate response and help..!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Notice: wpcf7_remove_shortcode is deprecatedHey peteratfulcrum,
This greatly helped and I’m no longer seeing the annoying message in the header of my site. If I may add, this is located in:
wp-content / plugins / cf7 datepicker / modules / date.php
..because I first looked into cf7/modules/date.php and couldn’t find the lines ??Thank you my friend..!

In reply to: [Scroll Triggered Box] Pressing Submit does not do anything!Hi Eero,
Any ideas please on this issue? It seems strange that the forms works, (i.e. delivers the subscriber’s e mail in my inbox), but does not give any indication to the user that the form was actually submitted! Please help…

In reply to: [Scroll Triggered Box] Pressing Submit does not do anything!Hi again,
It would be nice you know to get a reply! I cannot figure out why it doesn’t complete the Submit process.
Please help, so I know if I need to delete your plugin, (that I’ve spent days configuring), and start with another one.
Also, if this doesn’t work and you can’t find a solution, could you please elaborate more on the integration of Mailchimp? All it says is to leave the ’email to’ field empty.
Though it would be nice to have your plugin sorted since I prefer the layout..!Thanks
Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: localhosts/wordpress links brokenHi there,
It is always recommended to set the Permalink structure to ‘ post name’, (I personally also use this option for SEO purposes as well). Go ahead and set it to this option, if not already done so, press SAVE and try again. See if this helps you.
On the other hand, the links with ‘local host’ prefix, (in local installations), don’t normally break and transition well when transfering your site to Live host. Did you manually change anything?Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: Which one should i choose? please recomend?Hi again :-()
Please see previous answer to your other thread.

In reply to: Install helpHi pelle001 ??
I would go with option no.1, since it has the latest PHP release as well. I run local installations in both Mac and Windows. For windows I use the WAMP version and for MAC the MAMP one.
Since MAMP is also for Windows now, I would go with MAMP – and just that. You do not need both! Thanks ??

In reply to: Install helpHi there,
Of course you can instal locally in your pc or mac. In fact this is the recommended way always. Work locally on your site, and when you are ready you can then upload it to your live server.
You can download WAMP for Windows here and follow instructions:
https://www.wampserver.com/en/
and MAMP from here:
https://www.mamp.info/en/
(you will only need MAMP and not MAMP PRO, (at least not at the beginning).
It may seem a little complicated at first, but if you follow instructions you will successfully instal it.
You can always write back in the “Installations” section of the support forum for more info.Have fun ??

Hi there,
I am after the same thing so that I can possibly put multiple review items on a single page! Isn’t this the way to go? For example I can create different pages with items that I use your plugin to review and then use the shortcode feature to put them in my review page. I only see however a “custom shortcode” option which gives me the [wp-review] shortcode. How can I get this to work please..could you give me a helping hand if you can..?
Thank you in advance!

In reply to: [Easy Responsive Tabs] Responsive tab space of unused area in tab container...by the way, I’m working on local install, so I can’t really give you a link of any sort. I thought I could attach a screenshot, but apparently not. Hope I made sense..?!
