Finales Update: mit den neuesten Versionen beider Plugins funktioniert alles!

Der Entwickler des Object Caching Plugins meint eher, dass das Problem bei Germanized liegt:

They work with a redirect after update, based on the transient – but transients are also placed in the OC if available –?that might be the root of the problem.

Vielleicht lie?e sich auch untereinander dahingehend mal Kontakt aufnehmen? Sollte ja zu beiderseitigem Zugewinn sein.

Other plugins update without problems, but also Elementor had problems that might be related recently.

Our plugin creates a transient with a timeout. However, the transient is deleted again via the WP Core API before the timeout expires and should therefore also be deleted from the object cache:

Yes, I reactivated the cache after successfully updating. I will check if it works, when the next update comes. Thank you!

Der Support dort meinte Folgendes:

Transients are saved in the db unless there is object cache.
If the plugin does not add a timeout when saving a Transient, it is outloaded from OC and that might cause the error.

The redirection happened in the wp-admin area, not the frontend. There was no way to access the plugin’s settings page.
I’ll forward your clue about the timeout to vendidero.

Yeah I wanted to try this but it wasn’t possible as I was always forwarded to said page.

Kann ich etwas tun, um das in Zukunft zu verhindern und trotzdem den Object Cache zu nutzen?

this week it got even worse. Last week I could stop through deactivating and reactivating and changing the frequency. This week it only stops when I deactivate the reports completely. As soon as I reactivate it I get a report every few seconds (even feels like more the lower the frequency I set).
This is only the case with the activity reports. All other mails function normally, so I guess that shouldn’t be a sendmail/postfix problem, right?

Hi Luke, thanks for clearing that up! Still in the scenario I’m looking for that overview shouldn’t be that dynamic. No matter which zone the customer is in, there should only be a table, where you can check the cost beforehand (similiar to the tables where the costs are set, but not editable).

Like:
Zone 1 Name (List of countries)
From weight 1 to weight 2 – price
From weight 3 to weight 4 – price

Zone 2 Name …

and so on. That should be possible to fetch from the database and to just display on a shipping cost information page without a lost of resourceful calculation, right? Surely depends on how complex rules you have, but still. Maybe with a user interface to click the rules needed together or something?
Would really appreciate, if that could be taken in consideration. I’m sure a lot of shop owners would like this and not have to update their shipping cost information manually.
We already use the pro version, which is great btw!

Hi, thanks for the reply.
This isn’t exactly what I’m looking for. More it should be an overview of the costs by weight and Zones/countries in our case. As people usually order more than one product in the shop this plugin wouldn’t really do the trick.

If I list you our plugins, would you know which one is most likely to cause this?
