I could see this feature as something useful and to answer NuclearMoose, it would be advantous to have this ability for those bloggers who have access to the blog, to upload non-image files, without the use of FTP, as FTP can be a bit confusing to some.

I guess poeple are still guessing as to whether or not Google indexes and caches pages with or without the “?” questionmark?
I beleive that Google will cache your pages with or without. Try searching Google for the terms “wap Gmail” and tell me if the third link down is titled “skebrown >> Gmail on wap”? And then tell me if the link that you are taken to is in fact “https://skebrown.com/index.php?p=315”.
To me it’s obvious that Google DOES index more than just the monthly archive and index pages of one’s website.
Do you agree? Disagree? Is this a good example and does it help?

Just out of curiosity, has the “post-slug” or “re-write” method been proven to work with regards to Google indexing and or cacheing pages?

Hell, you should have the top five problems example right in the sidebar, just above the search box.

I have done a test with my own site based on SPAMMING the search engines with keyword content just to see how they would react. And since most tout that keyword SPAMMING of a webpage is usually against the rules of thier own algorythm and would subsequently NOT show up in search results.

Also, try searching Google for “sony vaio slow boot”. Wouldn’t you think that someone else’s technical spec pages would show up here first?

I have seen this question asked so many times on this forum and the solution is usually something simple relating to cookies, which has been answered so many times by the members here.
Sometimes, providing such a thing could actually save space by not cluttering it up with redundant questions.

tcervo: How did you get the categories, which are spit out by the db in list format, to have a unique identifier for each?
