    In reply to: DNS Issue?

Thanks. Looks like my domain is pointing to the right DNS server. But that is different from propagation, right? So I may end up still being directed to the WP install on my old host until the DNS change propagates to my ISP? Guess you are right, I will just have to sit tight.

figured it out. i was trying to upload it to an older version of mysql. i created a backup copy using the MYSQL40 option in SQL Export Compatibility. Someone should throw a warning into the codex instructions for this detail.

when i look at the .sql file in notepad, the characters are not in the beginning of as it says they are in the error message. how can i get around this?

i’m havin the same problem with the same ??? error.

There is a chance that you may have found a bug in the SQL parser. Please examine your query closely, and check that the quotes are correct and not mis-matched. Other possible failure causes may be that you are uploading a file with binary outside of a quoted text area. You can also try your query on the MySQL command line interface. The MySQL server error output below, if there is any, may also help you in diagnosing the problem. If you still have problems or if the parser fails where the command line interface succeeds, please reduce your SQL query input to the single query that causes problems, and submit a bug report with the data chunk in the CUT section below:

Kafkaesqui – I checked out that page and followed the directions to create a new page template in which I added the feedback form code below the “entry” area. That solution works fine now. Thanks!

Vcoe – Had I seen your reply in time I could’ve used that solution instead. It sounds easier for what I was trying to do, but oh well. Thanks anyway.

Thanks! Is the fix similar for the comment link that is located below each post? I didn’t see any other 00BB code in the style.css file. Do I have to go into the comment-function.php file instead?

you have to set all the file folders from wp-content on down to full write permissions. it is a total pain in the butt.
