Just like to add to this:

Tried something else tonight and I wondered if it may be connected to the above issue.

We had a CiviCRM member that was successfully synced to WordPress. We had issues with the CiviCRM contact record so we deleted it started and a fresh, we didn’t delete the already sync’d user in WP.

We created a new member record, identical details and set member status to active. The existing WP user didn’t switch role to be allowed access to our portal. We had to delete the WP user and manual resync for it actually display the correct role as an active member.

Is this expected behaviour?

P.S If the answer to my query above is that it should change WP role on permanent deletion. I wonder if it’s possible that we delete the CiviCRM record previously, and recreated it and that’s why no updates are happened when we hard deleted the CiviCRM contact record this time around – if that makes sense?!

Thanks for coming back to me, I’ve applied the update but unfortunately, the issue still persists on the site..

I’ve tried a hard refresh, and incogntio window but it still appears the same.

I’ve just tried the latest update, and it still seems broken to me. Now everything is square but it’s cropped the entire image I’ve added the images here, with a screenshot of our config of the plugin:

I think we are having the same issue here (after upgrading and using account authorization), thumbnail borderless used to be perfectly square before the update, now some images are bigger than others and there is no consistency, it’s making our site footer look like its broken.

Is there an ETA on getting this fixed? It was working perfectly before.

We went with Roles here, and have been very happy with the set up so far. Gives us granular control over access.

In WP, you can assign more than 1 role to a user. Some of our members add content to the site, so we give them Member and Editor roles. But, the Member role is automatically synced from CWMS and we have to assign any extra role manually.

As far as I can tell, you can only select one active current membership role and 1 expired role in CWMS.

Thanks for the response.

Can I ask why? As I understand it, by using capabilities, we lose the functionality of dropping a member to lower level access once their membership expires or is cancelled.

Scenario:
Active Member (Custom Member role in WordPress) = can log in, and view premium content
Non-active Member (dropped back to Subscriber role in WP) = can log in, but can’t view premium content and is automatically redirected to the membership renewal page.

Think I’ve resolved this, after clicking save on Roles, I can see the Association tab has now changed to have greater detail.

I think I may have spoken a little too soon. I’ve been going through testing browsers and although Chrome, Firefox and IE appear to display the header image correctly, it disappears in Safari:

Do you have any idea what’s causing this for Safari only?

Adding that gave a massive improvement, but it seems to be squashing the image a bit. I’ve added a screenshot of the webpage in the background with the custom CSS active, and in the foreground is the header that was designed with the aforementioned dimensions:

How can I find out the dimensions to use so that header doesn’t look that slightly bit squished?
