Howdy,
Okay, so I cleared out the necessary caching and made some adjustments to an optimization plugin. I then cleared the cache/history from my browsers. I had success. I tested in Windows and Mac and tested in Chrome based browsers and Safari.
I asked my team (all on Macs) to test the site with very particular testing instructions and to test across two browsers. I asked them completely clear their browsers cache for “all time/everthing” and do the testing.
Out of 5 testers, not including myself, only 3 had perfect results. One staff member still had the same issues and the search did not work. The fifth staff member had success on one of our players and the other player failed the test. His results were the same on two different browsers. And I verified that they completely dumped their cache.
So something is still not perfect as I am getting these mixed results from testing.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks!
Peace,
-AlbertHowdy,
I have updated to the latest version but I am still having issues searching with any extra terms preceding the title such as ‘the’. Those searches still do not work.
As for the issue with searching the feed without having the entire list loaded, that problem seems to be resolved.
I also noted that the use of an apostrophe, as in Heart’s, breaks the search and no results are showing. So it would appear that the search is not recognizing certain syntax as searchable criteria.
Please advise of any updates to be able to fix the remaining issue. Thanks!
Peace,
-Albert SaenzHello,
We have the player on multiple pages but this one should be good enough to test:

I have had co-workers test and the results are all mixed. One co-worker cannot search anything that is not visible in the list. I have tested and get different results on different browsers. On the Brave Browser I cannot even load all the episodes in the feed. But on Chrome I can load everything.
The other odd thing was searching any titles that started with “The” or “And” It did nothing if the title started with that. But if I eliminated “The/And” I could search in Chrome, regardless of the list being completely loaded. So definitely something is not right with the player.
Thank you for your help.
