I’m using Videopress plugin 1.5 and videos are NOT working on my iPad2. (I deleted cache before checking.)
Poster images shows, video is not scaling to fit page, video won’t play.
Still looking for resolution.

In reply to: [WP UI - Tabs, Accordions, Sliders] Can't get the tabs to stop rotating.Hi. Thanks for quick reply.
No other tabs or rotating tabs from this plugin, but I have the Tabgarb plugin being used on same page (was using Tabgarb before I discovered WP-UI, I may replace all tabs with WP-UI if things go well):
https://sitesubscribe.com/wordpresshelp/
click the ‘WordPress Video Tutorials’ tab and scroll down
Also, not sure (not fully tested), but seems like some of my shortcodes within the contents area are not rendering. Stay tuned for more confirmation on that one.

In reply to: CU3OX and WordPressHi. Someone recently came to my tech blog and asked for a solution to this.
I thought I’d post my answer in case it can help anyone:
Firstly, I’m not a fan of Flash for several reasons…the most important one being that I’m a big iPad and iPhone user these days, and Flash is not suppported.
But…to answer your question, try this ‘cu3er-post-elements’ WordPress plugin, it might do the trick if you configure it right:

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Getting error in dashboard widgets for newly created sitesJust found out that when I create a ‘test’ post, when viewing the post I get fatal errors related to WordPress SEO plugin:

Hey Dan, the shortcodes work great!
Donation to the kitty on it’s way…
BTW, I’m having trouble getting the STW screenshots to work (in the interest of time I’m just manually throwing in screenshots for now). I noticed this site’s screenshots are broken also: https://digitalraindrops.net/directory/
Anyone else having problems with STW feature?
Hi. Thanks for quick response.
Here is page where the code is, and also the output:
https://sitesubscribe.com/knowledgebase/tabgarb/I realize I can turn off debug error message, but I’d like to eliminate the problem.
Well as I was typing this I was also trying to prepare the page so it would look correct for you to view, and in doing so I re-enabled the wpautop and wptexturize filters that I had disabled to get another plugin to work within the WP editor.
Turns out by re-enabling those filters the problem with TabGarb was resolved! So it has something to do with those filters being required.
Works fine in both HTML and Javascript mode now.
Now I just need to do some CSS styling and I should be good to go.
Thanks!
You kiddin’? That was FAST!
I’ll give it a try shortly, then I’ll pay up to the kitty.
Thanks!
(Hey, any comments/advice on the cache stuff I mentioned?)
2) sorry, should’ve looked there
Cache: No, I’m looking into it again though. I’ve tried WP Super Cache, then W3 Total Cache which I preferred, but had problems getting everything to work so gave up for a bit. Getting ready to try W3 again very soon, along with MaxCDN. I run many sites, a few with multisite with many different plugins and themes, so getting everything to play nice is not easy. But I know page load speed is a BIG issue I need to tackle. Also 90% of my visitors are new, so not sure how much caching would help anyway (although the other features of W3 like javascript compression and loading code into footer would be helpful). I also need to spend some time trimming down some other things and add CDN for as many elements as possible.
“Are you putting the shortcode into the description field?”: Yes.
shortcode support: That would be great, I’ll drop some coinage, please let me know once you have shortcode support working.
I was just cruising your site, very nice. I’m going to keep you in mind as a resource for any time I may get in over my head ??
I’ve been looking for a slider for months now that has the features of the one on your homepage, very nice ?? Particularly the Highlighted Text at the bottom that acts as a descriptive Menu, and the floating Pointer is a nice touch. Looks like it is jquery loopedSlider? Their site says it is now “Slides” plugin ( https://slidesjs.com/ ). Did you try that version? More importantly, I didn’t see any examples for either of these version that showed the bottom Menu & floating Pointer…did you have to mod anything to get the bottom Menu & floating Pointer? I basically want one to look very similar to yours, and might have to borrow some code or css ??
Thanks much,
JeffHi, I’m Jeff. Thanks for the quick response.
1) I’m not aware of any recent changes. I’m on WP3.1 for a while now. As is typical, there’s a good chance it could be another plugin that I may have activated over the last several weeks though.
2) 1.19 (not easy to find, would be nice to have it on the documentation page)
3) Lucky for a while I guess. I was using the special-text-boxes shortcodes for collapsible divs.
4) https://sitesubscribe.com
5) https://sitesubscribe.com/about/member-showcase/
6) Will consider it…how small is acceptable for this kind of thing? Thanks,
JeffI think it may be solved now (still testing to be sure).
It seems that the DNS on my computer needed to be flushed (and browser cache, again) so that the correct page would display.
Thanks very much for your help.
Is there a difference or benefit between the 2 domain mapping plugins?
#1)
wordpress-mu-domain-mapping

Domain Mapping (VHOST and directory enabled Domain Mapping plugin)
https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/domain-mappingThanks for the quick replies!
I just restarted the server. Same result.
“Did you park it on the domain for the main site/install?”
I think so…I had previously parked the domain for the domain I’m trying to map (within cpanel of the wp install for the site root); I did not redirect it to anything, so it should be pointing to the root site.
So I have busproplus.com parked within cpanel for sitespiration.com, which is the domain for the main site/install (which created an A record pointing to the IP of the server).
I can get to https://sitespiration.com/busproplus/wp-admin/
But when I ‘view site’ it goes to:
https://busproplus.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgiI just tried redirecting the parked domain within cpanel to https://sitespiration.com (the main site/install). Then I restarted the server. Same result.
