If this is accepted there are some more spacing issues on the other pages that i could supply a patch for. As you can see I added 5px to the post page – would prob need to be done for the rest.

Sorry, my mistake. Works a treat. Would really like to see it integrated with the admin interface nicely. ie a backup/restore page.
How exactly does one go about restoring the database?

I tried on 0.72 and got nothing at all back, not even a blank page. The server would just hang up :/ Will be a nice hack if it can work tho ??

Any chance of a sheet that changes the orientation but not the colors? I really like the current theme of the admin interface..

What is REALLY needed is a page on www.remarpro.com listing all the mods with descriptions etc.. so that the users don’t have to browse through the forum for hacks and so that hacks don’t get lost.

I agree that passwords needs to be stored as hashes. It’s very standard practice on the web now not to be able to get your password back, but to have to recieve a new one at your registered e-mail address. Only sane way to do it IMHO and something important to have done before 1.0 so as not to look silly ??

davidchat: Sounds good, we should start a new thread soon and discusshow it might work and eventually even fit in with WP.
As for all the usablility stuff, I have even more ideas as to how to sepporate single/multi user modes if that idea is a goer, and more ideas as to how to tidy up the My Profile/Options sections as well as some of the other stuff. But I’ll wait to see the reaction to my waffle so far ??
Then maybe we can make new topics about individual ideas of mine that you guys like so that this thread don’t go mad.

Running that script seems to have fixed there errors – obviously cvs isn’t designed for straight installation atm. I imagine that this won’t be hard to fix.

Oh yeah, and https://sisob.tuxfamily.org/wordpress/ is the output of the install naturally. Loads more database errors to shake a stick at ??

I actually had more luck on my local test server and managed to get it running with a cvs checkout from yesterday. The above errors are from a fresh checkout from just now…

Oh yeah, and as for the backup, the local database thing would be cool, but I was mostly just thinking of dumping the database to a file on the server ??

Glad that everyone is welcoming of Usability feedback. Yeah some projects can take it quite badly. Look forward to working with you guys in the near future ??

just one more thing. Just had a quick look at the admin interface of the last release tarball and the posting for was actually a lot cleaner then. Methinks someone tried to make it too fancy ??
