LATEST UPDATE:

I just talked with the support team of my Host provider and they said that it has to be done through SSH as the folder is too big.

if you check https://thamesorientalcarpets.co.uk/wp11/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/ (old version)

and https://thamesorientalcarpets.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/ (new version) you will see that some of the files like IMG1100 one is not completely migrated ! in the old version I have more of IMG1100 than the new version.

what is the best way to take a clean back up and upload them to the new version folder? previously I used filezilla

well no I have just started to create pictures with the required name and upload them manually. but it takes ages to do it for every single product.
so if you check older products, the problem is still there. ??

Thanks for your help portlight. you are right! but why is this happening? on the previous version everything was working fine and I just migrated the wordpress from one directory to the root.
do you think is there any other way that I can fix this issue without creating the image file and uploading it for every single picture?
