what you need to do is to download the my-twitter.php file with your FTP program, execute the changes as described above and copy the file back into the my-twitter folder. If that doesn’t work just delete the entire my-twitter widget folder in the plugin folder, also via FTP.

So if anyone has had this problem after the update, do as fantomas_b said and delete all code after the first ?> in the my-twitter.php file. Then upload the file to the plugin-folder and it should work just fine.

Problem solved.

Others have had this problem before. My htaccess file doesn’t contain mod_deflate. And it seems zlib output_compression is on.

I deleted mod_gzip_on Yes from the htaccess file and tried to enable the compression in the plugin. The result: garbled text and weird characters all over the place. Need to hit refresh to load correctly. Something doesn’t add up here, trying to find out more.
