In the end it was a problem with the cookie path being empty. I think it was due to it being a multisite installation. I didnt really understand it too well, Mike did all the work.

Have found it now.

I cant see any option to add free shipping over certain value in the shipping zones section, or anywhere else. How would you set this up using zones, sorry but that video and the related docs don’t really explain this.

I couldn’t see the css code with ‘fixed’ in my theme (headway) but there were options to edit the css code on the checkout and cart pages. I added the line of code that you suggested Al, and after adjusting the sticky settings on the footer and header wrapper this seems to have solved the problem. Thanks again, I’m still not sure this is the end of it but it does appear to be working again.

I’ve been looking for it to try and fix it Mike, I’m not that confident with editing CSS. I can see a CSS editor in my themes design editor but I cant find the code you mentioned.

Im not sure, we havent sold anything on the site yet, this may be due to this problem but I couldnt say that for sure. I dont know exactly when this add to cart issue started.

Ok, Have just switched on w3 cache and disabled all features, then disabled w3 cache. There were no cache files i could see on wp-config or .htaccess but the cache folder was in wp-content so I deleted it again.

I checked with 123reg again to see if they were running any caching software at all, they say they aren’t and think it might be due to w3 total cache. This is currently disabled, and I think you suggested switching everything off on it and then disabling, which I did previously. I could try uninstalling W3 cache, do you think that’s worth a try?
