Finally, I don’t use private photos, and put all the pictures “public” in Flickr.

It is actually not possible to display albums. The only syntax that works for private photos is described by the author in an example :
https://aquoid.com/plugins/photonic/flickr/flickr-authentication/

[gallery type='flickr' user_id='35553131@N07' view='photos' privacy_filter='4']

Thanks for the explanations, you are true this is quite specific and not usual.
I will see how I solve it, maybe I simply put all the pictures public on Flickr.

I plotted three things on the page :
[gallery type='flickr' user_id='31122741@N02' collection_id='72157683284435243'] Public albums (works fine)

[gallery type='flickr' user_id='31122741@N02' view='collections' filter='72157685250640354' privacy_filter='4']Private albums shows only the thumbnail but not the pictures !

[gallery type='flickr' user_id='31122741@N02' view='photos' privacy_filter='4'] Private photos of the above album (works fine)

The problem is in the second one. The album as one picture public (the thumbnail) and the others private.
I hope you can see clear with these informations.
