That’s strange, I see it in Firefox and Safari, when you click on an item and you stay in the menu area the hand with finger is changed to a cursor and wont change until you go out of the area of the menu.

Nobody have a idea how I can link the three boxes under the slider to an excisting page?

There are different sidebar templates (ads_sidebar, sidebar_page.php, sidebar_home.php etc.) but none of them include anything of search
