    iGhera,

So I will try your plugin but the registration is a bit messy so I wanted a yes/no answer first !

So you believe the liveproxy .m3u8.new file can be input to your plugin which then displays the appropriate stream returned by streamlink ?

    Cheers ??,
    Shippy.

    Hi again iGhera !

    1. So does your video player support the Linux pipe command ( in Linux installs of course) within the m3u8 playlist URL file?

Are these pipe commands recognized by m3u8 players in general within the m3u8 playlists on Linux?

I ask because if yes, then (see below link in #2) Streamlink 2.0+ should take care of m3u8 + YouTube http link streaming, and YouTube/other http /m3u8 link changes every few hours.

    2. Or how about this streamlink liveproxy wrapper ?

Will the new m3u8 playlist be usable by your player?

Is it auto updated or a cron job would be required?

    Hi Andre,

Think I recognize your name from VLC forums. ??

    3. Else, if your player supports YouTube http URLs or YouTube m3u8 links (with auto updates) and other live TV m3u8 links in the same playlist, then no need for above !

    Cheers ??,
    Shippy.

    Maria,

Your WordPress plug description says you do support YouTube !

Anyway I am quite surprised that WordPress plugins don’t support m3u which is much more common than m3u8- not to mention that many independent GitHub projects like 4gray use libVLC to support both…

Anyway I really hope someone do that. Don’t know about direct libVLC support, but m3u to m3u8 (UTF-8 format) should not be challenging at all.

There is no more Montreal Jazz Festival if I recall- last I attended was a decade ago ! ??

This certainly will expand your market in a big way….mostly it is the unarticulated needs of customers than stated ones ( in the current narrow market) that differentiate winners.

    Cheers ??,
    Shippy.

    iGhera,

    1. Thanks, I will check via the tester.

    2. The JWPlayer site is a bit tough to navigate as I have been looking…

Can you kindy tell me, as alternatively, if JWPlayer html code can be pasted into Google Blogger platform as well?

A while ago things were quite open/ available, now it all seems changed !

    Cheers ??,
    Shippy.

I just get back this forum !

    Where is the tutorial?

    Hi Sanjeev,

Problem solved! Thanks for the attention.

I was able to send test email from WP SMTP Mail plugin and received in my Gmail account. Also received my reply to this test email into my webmail account in Plesk.

I was in touch with Alex Tsmokalyuk from Plex and he identified a broken self signed certificate for my mail in Plesk- the problem is PHP 5.6+ bug that unluckily is not documented clearly as Top 10 Problem FAQ in either Plesk or this plugin. There should be a warning note in the mail setups: one sentence to avoid a big time-effort waster !

So I just used Let’s Encrypt to generate same as domain certificate for mail in one extra click …

Question: Can you recommend any WP plugin to send/receive email from within WordPress as opposed to from an external source like Plesk webmail?

    Sanjeev,

    Thanks for the details !

    1. This is a new install, Lightsail on Plesk hosting WordPress via WP Toolkit.
So there is no backup/data for me to worry about.
Thus I just deleted the WP website from the Plesk menu, and reinstalled a fresh one. I only loaded the WP SMTP Mail plugin (Akismet is there by default.)

Now the Email Test menu click redirect to login page error is gone: I do get the correct menu.

    2. Now I tried to send email to [email protected] via first configuring the “Other SMTP” option under General tab.

    A. Here are the Plesk email server settings that I followed in the General tab, with Port 587/ TLS/ Authenticated options:

My Plesk Web Admin (free) edition is on Postfix and Dovecoat with all default settings. (Webmail is working with the default Horde plugin.)
