Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Plugins installing to the wrong directory.I found the problem and fixed it. The information I put in my 2nd post on this topic had information that might have tipped someone off for helping me. [You have had your say. Please move on…] But enough of me grumbling about rude people.
Just to prove I’m the better person in this, I’m going to say what fixed it.
I use 1&1 for my web hosting (as I tried to say in my deleted post). So if you use them and have a problem, create a .htaccess file and place this content inside
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
save file as .htaccess file text file and put that file in the main folder of your site underneath the wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes folder.

In reply to: Thanks and No Thanks. If you want to call it bumping, fine. The second post had some different information from the first post that I thought might help. But since it got deleted, no one will know what was in it.
Tell you what….. I really don’t care anymore. If this is the way WordPress rolls, that’s good. Because it seems everyone puts a lot more effort into arguing with me than helping me solve the problem. And that’s not what I’m looking for in blog publishing tool.

In reply to: Thanks and No Thanks. The second post was 8 hours from the first one and that got deleted without explanation. Since I had no idea why it disappeared, I reposted it. And since I wasn’t sure if I was in the right section, I also posted it in the Plug In section.
All it would have took was, “Yep, we seen your post, we can’t help right now and please don’t repost.” But what I got was an unexplained disappearance of my post.
Like I said, I’m not psychic. And I also have to say nicely done on trying to make yourself feel less guiltier. Here……I know how to say it. I’m sorry. See? Isn’t that easy?
